I thought Ultra Sabers was done for so I bought a $6000 lab laser last week. I feel stupid now for spending my monies, but I can make more. Good thing the sale will last to the end of the month.

If that scares you then just to let you know I'm the proud owner of a wicked lasers S3 Arctic. The S3 is known as the world's most dangerous laser. When it first came out a year ago it was thought that it could cut skin and cause blindness instantly. It was even called a real lightsaber by some!

What is the purpose of owning something like that?

It has no practical use; However I use my S3 in the laboratory to heat samples of unstable metal oxides in sealed test tubes at my work stand. The lab's laser is a very large machine; so why handle unstable metals that don't like to be moved when I have a hand held laser of the same power. Also I annoy my co-workers with it when were on our breaks. It can be used as a defensive measure too. The safety is a pain but once you arm the laser your foes eyes are as good as gone. The 445 nanometer (wavelength/ blue) beam causes a permanent chemical reaction in the cone and rode cells of the retina making them useless.

Send me a copy of that note Rash as I may need to use a laser to stencil the words in my retina so that I will always see it and never forget it. and Hope I don't go blind. :) and yeah I think Ultra feels great that his lightsabers are compared to $6000 dollar lasers. I'd feel pretty damn good about myself and company too lol.

UGH!! I can't take this anymore!! I'm think I'm gonna have to put my V2 project off for awhile! I really want to take advantage of this sale and the inductee price on the Obsidian! Now.....what saber to get!!  :-\

Edit: Man, I really wish the CSO division was up & running (not that we all don't)! I REALLY want a CE Prophecy with an Obsidian!!

lol, I hear ya.  I think Ultra is going to have a 3 year backlog when the CSO shop opens up, but he's also going to be the most loved saber maker out there!

That sounds like a sweet friggin choice.  Since Ultra is finishing up my Luke ROTJ with the new soundboard, maybe I'll start planning a dark side saber!  Dark Shock anyone?  heh heh heh
