Saber Forum

Adegan Silver is my favorite color. Most think it's boring, but to me it's exciting. Silver (or white) is all of the colors in one; it doesn't sway to any side. It is its own entity, one that chooses its own path. To me, white is the ultimate color of freedom and peace. I think Adegan Silver is best for well-rounded people who strive for peace and freedom, and will not be tamed by any authority on their quest, but they are willing to cooperate if necessary.

Plus it's just freaking awesome.

To post a filtered saber would be to undermine the total freedom that Adegan Silver symbolizes! I don't have an AS saber not yet, but a long time ago I made a make shift light saber with a blade and a flashlight in some PVC. It was pretty cool and I was really attached to it. But I took it apart to use the flashlight. Also I have another flashlight with white beam, but it has the slightest hint of blue, it looks like a true silver. Is the ultrasabers AS pure white or does it have a slight blue hint? If not I'm sure I can filter it. Now I really want an AS!

Mine's pure white. I think they recently switched to something else (AS is an extra charge now so either the LED is becoming rarer or they're using some kind of RGB setup), so I don't know how it looks now, but mine is pure white. In some angles you can actually see some other colors, even though it's a single LED! I love it. It really is the best color for those who have trouble deciding.

Plus it's awesome.

Mine is pure white.  I use a very light blue filter to make it more silver.

I'll post a picture of my AS Aeon V3 alone later. (Ohio time). =] It'll be in a standard Heavy Grade blade.

The interesting thing about these sabers is with filters they can belong to the other color groups too. :D

Wow, silver actually looks incredible on the Dark Reaper.  I tend to have some colors that I associate with the different US hilts, and silver is definitely going to be the #1 color in my mind for that hilt in particular.

I'm thinking a Prophecy V3 in AS with a silver AV switch may just be my next Ultrasaber with Obsidian Sound. Now to determine the FoC color.........

I don't really like AS on silver hilts. Far too lightside for me. I love AS on dark LE sabers.

That's why I only allow unfiltered ones here!  :D Silver really is the most versatile color though. I freaking love it!

I work at an arts/crafts/furniture/whatever place called Hobby Lobby, and I found this clip on a broken item. Thought it would go well with this saber, and it looks like it did!

Dude, awesome weapon collection there! The Initiate actually does make me think of some sort of lightsaber machete now. Are those other blades replicas of anything or just well-crafted sharp things?

Thanks, I think of initiates as machetes also. The black one is a kukri machete from cold steel. The other one I got when I was last in the homeland (Philippines). Both are live blades.

What kind of camera settings did you use?

Technically you can use whatever setting you want. I use Manual. You crank the dial to the left until you see "1 and etc. Mine goes to 30. :)

The t2i is an awesome camera ... It's currently my main camera and will be upgrading once I get more work

I don't have a saber yet as I'm still deciding on a hilt but I'm pretty set on getting the silver!

Get the Prophecy. Easily the best thing Ultrasabers has ever created.

But if you're looking for a cheaper option, the Initiate V3's are very good. The Dominix/Aeon V2's as well.

If you're looking for a more expensive option the Archon is amazing.

Prophecy takes the cake though.

That's a great point.  He is writing 'silver' backwards, in the air, with a lightsaber.  And to top it off he has good saber-writing.  That could not be an easy thing to do.

Yeah, that's my Bokken. I put it up for a size comparison. My Initiate is almost the same length. I think it's a 4th an inch longer than my light-saber.

I don't know what I want my next saber to be, only that it is going to be Adegan Silver and based off of the Japanese Nagamaki. :)

Finally a new picture. We've been living in California and we finally got regular WiFi. Lol. So here you go. Unfiltered Adegan Silver goodness. =] My Aeon V3 and in a standard Mid Grade blade. I'll be posting a cool Roscolux blue color too in the Roscolux thread. The light blue in the silver really pops out in a standard Mid blade. I think Adegan Silver is an underrated color same with Fire Orange. I don't have Fire Orange yet though.

Nice saber! I have an Aeon V3 as well. It doesn't fit my style, but I still like it. Although when I wield it, it does feel like I'm wielding Anduril (Aragorn's sword in Lord of the Rings), which is REALLY cool! It's a good saber.  :)

Fire Orange is a very nice color.  It's not one of the brightest but it's unique and I think it would look great in a saberstaff.  I can't say I'm that big a fan of silver by itself, but I like playing around with color filters on mine.

Same here. I put a Brilliant Blue Roscolux filter in. I really like the color alone. I want to try two of them though to see if the blue would be even more unique. But right now the color reminds me of the Clone Wars shade of blue which I like. Its in between of a dark and light blue. Should give the Ultra team some ideas.

That is a warglaive body, Consular emitter, and a Dark shock Pommel.  Usually keep the yellow filter in, but since White is still a Sentinel color, I thought I'd throw my hat in for the militia.

Have you been experimenting with other filter colors?

I have a video in the Nahal Project thread under the videos forum where I play around with white, yellow, blue, and violet.  Yellow is my color douwg.  Ever since I saw Plo Kun with it I just loved it.  Not even a fan of yellow.  I like black white and red, but yellow on a Lightsaber just does it for me.  IDK why.  Even my Makoto Dueling saber will be yellow.  And I really dig the Sentinel kit.  They just have such cool lore.  You had to be up to snuff to be a Sentinel.  Gone for long periods of time in the outer rim dealing with problems that no other Jedi dealt with.  Just cool lore all around.  Very practical people.  I like that sort of thing,  That's why the saber has such a practical look.  Not a lot of flash.  Just there to get shell done.

Haha I love Sentinels as well! They're so freaking cool! I felt the same way about silver. I never liked it as a color (green is my favorite), but when I played KOTOR 2 and found a silver crystal I was intrigued. Then I found US a few years later and saw they had a silver option. Ever since I got the color I've just been in love with it.

Of course, it also helps that the Prophecy is an amazing hilt.  :D

Well, I'm the newest silver militia member, scorpion in AS/ heavy grade. I might even be the first scorpion member, I don't recall seeing one on here yet, idk I might be wrong, but its bad ass anyways lol

Nice saber! What do you think of silver? And how's the saber itself? I've heard it's massive.

The saber is massive lol, with the heavy grade blade in it, its a ton to swing around. So I put a mid grade blade in it, and was very happy. That moved the balance point towards the hilt, but made it much more "swingable" if that's a word lol. The silver is amazing, very very bright, it looks especially good coming out of the "vents" or "windows" the silver on silver looks spectacular. My only beef with the scorpion is the shroud hits the claw some, I tightened up the covertech wheel and that helped a bunch but I just wish they had one more mounting screw up towards the emitter, but that's a small fix and overall its not a real problem. I'm just hyper anal sometimes. Overall I would rate the scorpion a solid 9 out of 10. But be prepared, it, really is a monster, great for two handed wielding though.

I actually used mine to find a lost dog at night once.

Silver Dark Initiate with Dark Warglaive pommel and high grade initiate AS blade. The heavy pommel puts the center of balance really low so that I can spin it in the palm of my hand without holding the saber. Battery power is low at the time of this shot.

AS is a great color especially in regular blades and you can make any color you want with Lee filters. =] Like what I just posted in the Yellow Legion since they also welcome filters like any other color thread.

Very cool, I love that leather how did you do that? You should really try to make or find some Batman mask shrouds to add to the emitters. Have the light shine through the eye holes.

The wrap is actually padded tennis racquet grip tape. You can find the same in leather, vinyl, and faux leather for tennis racquets or bicycle handlebars at most sporting goods stores.

James! Nice to see a new pic of that awesome AS Manticore!  Lucy, yours looks nice as well, I like the matching silver AV switch.  Did you get the high profile or low profile pommel, I can't tell from the pics.  James prefers the high profile while I keep a low profile on my VA Manticore.

I got the low profile one. But I have a spike pommel coming to replace it.

Very nice Haz.  I was wondering how the AS translated w/ the US blade(s); looks great, especially w/ your silver Prophecy.  Looks comfortable to wield; how is it for spinning, combat, etc?

Thank you, guys!  A silver blade is just right on with this hilt.

The Prophecy is thinner than what I'm used to ... it may sound weird but it's taken a bit of an adjustment because of that.

Aside from hilt thickness, it feels so amazing to wield the comfort on the whole hilt is excellent.  The thumb screws don't get in the way for spinning or light sparring, but I've heard that for heavy duelling taking them off for that is a good idea. 

White/Silver is a great color. I love it on both "Light" and "Dark" Hilts. I definitely plan on getting myself one, unfortunately its probably the last one on my list to get.

I agree with you guys. The silver blade doesn't get enough love. These pictures look great. I'm thinking about getting silver for a future saber. At present, I no longer have any. Going to have to fix that.

An old friend of mine I know has a Reaper in AS and it blew me away when I saw photos of it. My friend was a member here but I have lost contact with her,however I'll try and find the images (and attempt to re-establish contact with her)

And to hazard502, out of curiousity did you put the Catalyst pommel on your Dark Apprentice first or did Prowl1701 put one on his? (I think it was the Apprentice he has) It's a great mod whoever "discovered" it.

That's exactly the mentality I had choosing a silver blade, worth it all day.



I can't lay claim to this effective mod, we can certainly point to Prowl as the kick starter to utilizing the Catalyst pommel elsewhere :)
