Title: The Guardian Greatsaber
Post by: eerockk on August 02, 2013, 05:25:56 PM
Well, I had a little bit more fun with the greatsaber idea. Here's my next go in Guardian Blue.

Made for the Blue Army, but I felt it could go here as well.

That thing is awesome. I love FrankenSabers. Especially with the giant handle!

very nice EErock and btw u can get a screw with same threads to hold the shroud on if the covertec hinders your swings and flourishes

Just a 36", but I do yearn for a 40"

That is beyond ridiculously awesome.

When I ordered my shroud emitter, I also ordered about 8 pairs of retaining screws. I possess the screw that you speak of! Thanks man! I generally keep the covertec on the Guardian though cause it's nowhere near in the way of my left hand on the grip, but for the greatsaber, it's just the fix I'm looking for.

Point to all! Thanks guys!

Edit: Somehow, I missed it... Thanks to you too, MV. Frankensabers give a lot more leverage than normal... quite amusing despite the increased danger to the inanimate objects that surround the wielder. ;D

Thank you introducing this new breed of saber.

Credit goes to Dark Mal for his Yari work. I wanted to try that but didn't have a Yari, but then I thought 'hey, some of my sabers are MHS on both ends... hmmm'. and it was all downhill from there.

So yeah, he was my muse if yer all gonna blame me for these monstrosities. ;) ;D

May have been the muse but even Picasso had inspiration

that is certainly another amazing BEAST!  I'd love to work with one and see what I can do with it.  I'm thinking more nagamaki than anything else.  Man oh man, is that thing crazy!

it'd be interesting to see it with a blade the same length as the hilt versus a massive hilt with an additionally massive blade like a 40".
