Hello everyone. As of late, I've been doing a bit of Photoshopping with my costume against different backgrounds in order to come up with images that suit my costume and to have it against more "SWarsy" backgrounds. If you haven't seen them already, these are two such composites I put together with my costume only:

I would like to do a similar composite as the Sith Lords one above, but on a grander scale with pics of other forum members in their costumes as well. What I'm looking to do is to get pictures of other forum members, so that I can Photoshop them all into one big composite image of as many of us as possible in our costumes. If I get a good deal of pictures, I might split it up into two composite images, one for all the Sith costumes and one for all the Jedi costumes. If you would like your picture in the final composite(s), then please follow the guidelines below:

Picture Guidelines
- Picture must be at least 300 x 400 pixels
- Picture must contain you in full costume (Sith, Jedi, Gray Jedi, Jedi Shadow, etc.) and if possible, against a solid background or with a good contrast (this makes selection easier).
- Picture must contain your entire costume, meaning no part of it is cut off. This does not apply to saber blades, as the sabers will be edited anyway.
- You must have at least one saber (does not have to be lit) somewhere as a part of your costume, either holding it or attached to your belt. (Note that sabers on belts will not be edited, so if you want a lit saber, make sure you are holding a hilt.)
- You must state whether your costume is Jedi, Sith, Gray Jedi, etc. (sometimes it's hard to tell) in case the composite has to be split into two.
- And finally, if possible, make sure there is no color pollution in the image. By this I mean make sure your full costume and your face are visible, without any light falloff from your saber taking up the majority of the image.

I realize many people still do not have a costume yet, or are in the process of assembling one, so this will be an ongoing project in which the composite will no doubt update frequently as more people gain a costume.

Note: If you would like a specific lightsaber color, let me know in the email when you send your image.

I can do this when I get access to my costume again.

I'll have to see if I've got a suitable photo. If not I'll have to finish my costume then get all dressed up  :D

The only custom costume I have made is of Jason Voorhees from the original Friday the 13th part 3. Would that work, he is the epitome of pure evil ;D Hope one day that I will have my very own exiled sith costume in the near future. I would love to see the end result of this project

I'll have to take a couple new pics with my costume, see if I can get some good ones.

I feel the need to set a goal of some kind here, either in the number of images I receive or for a particular date. As it stands now, I only have four images to include, one of which is my own, but I would like a lot more than that before I start putting things together. I think I am going to start putting the first batch together into a composite once I reach 20 images, or by September 1st, whichever comes first. As I said before, this will be an ongoing project, so if your costume isn't ready by the time the first composite is made, worry not. The composite will either be updated once more images are received, or I'll make a separate composite if enough images are received to make another one.

I am bumping this topic so that more people see it. I only had have three submissions and would like more before I start.

Soz, have been working a lot this week and in between feeling like crap, think I'm coming down with a cold or something, so haven't had a chance to go thru my photos yet. Problem is don't think I'll have any with a plain enough background  :-\

As long as I'm able to distinguish what part is your costume and what part is the background, then that's fine. I just need to be able to see where I need to crop you out of the image.

you know I'm in bud, but it'll be a while til I get my full kit in order...

although, I do have a "canon" kit too, for the Rebel Legion, it's already done.  I could do that as a human, then have one of me as a Nautolan.  But I also wouldn't want to double dip unless you'd like me to.

I'm trying to go for only one costume per person, so if you think your Nautolan costume is going to take a while to put together, I can always use your other costume for now and then swap them once it's finished. As I said, it'll be an ongoing project, so I'll be updating it in the future.

Sounds like an amazing idea. Would love to be a part of it once my costume is complete. Have a couple of events in October so am hoping to spend September getting my improvements done so will hope to get involved in a later edition.

Thank you to all those who have sent their pics to me so far. As it stands, I'm currently up to 3 Sith and 3 Jedi. I should have another Sith soon as well.

I'm going to add a couple things to the guidelines of this topic that will make the final composite even better I think.

The first thing is in regards to the images themselves. I would like pictures of people in their costumes, but also in their favorite pose or stance as well. If you have multiple favorite poses or stances, feel free to send them all to me and I will choose the one I like the most. I feel this will give a little bit more uniqueness to the different "characters" in the final composite(s).

The second thing is in regards to the sabers. When you send me your image, please designate in the email what color you'd like your final saber color to be. It does NOT have to be the color your saber is in the image. If you are holding a green saber in the image you send me, but would like it to be a different color in the final composite, please say so in the email so that I know to change it later on. Also, if you want a color such as blue, please also designate what type of blue you want (i.e. Guardian, Arctic, Sunrider's Destiny).

Ok everyone, this is by no means the final result of this project, but I wanted to give an example of what I'm talking about after receiving a few costumes from different people. There are a few people I didn't include in this set because their images either did not meet the criteria in the original guidelines, or their costumes were lacking some piece they wanted it to have. As I said though, this is just an example image and will be updated once I receive other images to add to it. If your costume is complete and you have a photo that meets all the guidelines listed, feel free to send it at any time to the email provided in this thread and I'll be sure to add it. If any of those whom I've already included in a composite find a picture they like better, feel free to send me that and I will switch them out. I will, however, add one more criteria to this thread. I would like everyone who sends me a picture of their costume to also include their forum name, because I want to credit all who participate in this project.

I too enjoy there is more than just blue and green on the Jedi side.  I wish GL would have had some yellow blades in the prequels and Clone Wars cartoon.  In a way he allowed it in KOTOR and how many books, etc.  It'd be nice for a reference point on the yellow colored blades as well.  Nice looking composite!  And everyone's kits look great together!

...now to buy some foam :D

I am bumping this topic again because I've only received two other additions for the composite. If anyone else who has a costume assembled would like to be a part of this, be sure to email me a picture of you in your costume so I can add it in.

My costume won't be here until midway through October. Even then, I'll be missing my robe, but that's okay as I'll have everything else.

I think we need more Jedi.  At least, more pictures of Jedi.  The galaxy would be much better off with less Jedi.  ;)

I actually think I have more Jedi participants in this than Sith, so to all you Sith out there, I need more of you to participate if you have costumes ready. More Jedi are always welcome though. If I get a lot, I'm probably going to split this into two composites, one for the Jedi and one for the Sith. I think it would get too cluttered if I tried cramming everyone into the same composite.

I decided to split this project up into two composites for now, because trying to cram it all into one is proving to be a bit cluttered. As such, there is now one composite devoted to the Jedi and one devoted to the Sith. Here are the updated composites with a few new participating members added.

Very cool composites Venturous.  You should see if Arkanus will let you use his pic posed like shooting lightning. 
I'm surprised though, as many Sith as there are here, that you only have 4 submissions for them.

I think a lot of people are still in the process of updating their costumes or are making theirs, so within a few months I should have some more submissions.

Oh, I'm very happy for Venturous to use whichever of my pics he likes!

That's a good idea if Venturous wants to do it.  I will be commissioning a Jacen Solo style gray jumpsuit next month so I will be in the gray area too.

Hmmm...I don't see why not. I also had the idea of doing a general costume one for people with non-force using costumes like bounty hunters, etc.

they look great venturous! my only complaint would be maybe shorten my blade slightly? it makes me look very short :P im short, but not that short :D
