I have taken many, if not most, of the Hogworts Sorting Hat personality tests...and most come out with the same sort of answer though many are easy to determine the direction of a question to the point of asking which house you would prefer...meh.

I suspect that the majority operate with the knowledge that there is nothing wrong with the way they think and act, it is normal to them.  The insane do not know they are insane.

Jedi investigators were specially appointed by the Jedi Council. in your defense Ben,

to me, the "Guardian" answers were at times quite obvious.  But even in that, and answering it truthfully, I somehow got Consular which cracks me up.  Usually if it's only between "Guardian" and "Consular" I'm split right down the middle.  If "sentinel" is in there, there's usually a massive spike for "Sentinel" with a couple answers in both "Guardian" and "Consular."

just my experience.  However, I've never sat down to a quiz like this where it was almost like a psych eval lol and in that, I think that quiz was amazing!

I actually thought it was a good quiz. I really enjoyed reading the questions :)

Also, I think that I would have gotten Consular no matter what :D

The better personality quizzes ask questions without good or bad potential answers...lots of misleading questions...and such.

Yeah...I am just not that good at this. We all have our strong points, and coming up with quizzes is certainly not one! That said, I'm glad some of you enjoyed it. I'd likely be able to write an interesting paper on the differences between Consulars, Guardians, and Sentinels, but when it comes to quizzes... well, you've seen the result.

And while I appreciate not having leading questions, having five or more questions might help get a more accurate reading IMO.

Alrighty...I am going to approach the Medieval Career Path in a different approach.

With so many choices, creating a matrix becomes a major headache to be able to provide enough data to allow for overlay info and thus a pattern.

So I will apply this in two stages.

The first will determine the career grouping...take the quiz and find your group.

I do not know what this City of Ember is, but this is what I scored:

Mold scraper!
Often unappreciated because you do such a good job, keeping the mold at bay...few jobs are more important or taken for granted.



Very nice, the guy with bad mold allergies scrapes mold for a living! Seriously though, it's interesting to see what the choices brought.

City of Ember was a post apoc story written for the Harry Potter age group...it got made into a movie...both are quite fun, a bit of flair throughout.

A survival vault city the population is locked away to wait out the big bad...the time clock to let them back out gets lost.  So they are done there much much longer than intended...so the has reached its viable nature and is starting to collapse...lack of supplies, lack of parts, and lack of knowledge...they have enough to keep going...for now.  The story is how they take the next steps.

The mold scrapper comes across as a bad job, in a kid's or general public eye...but I see much potential.

The city is dark and moist, see lots of mold, slimes, and fungus.  The bad molds need to be managed...hence the legions of scrapers.  But the good side is that they would be resistant due repeated contact, could find cashes of editable mushrooms, and could use the living nature of the mold to track the health of a given area.  I see these guys being the potential scientists...working in the trenches.

Could be very interesting.

As to the job of mold scraper, it didn't actually seem to be a bad job to me :) like you, I think it could be interesting! Like you said, almost a kind of trench scientist/doctor.

The whisperer...a beastmaster who communicates with animals in general, some with more affinity based upon personal vibes but overall can talk to them all...may or may not even have one animal as a companion just depends

Jedi Consular: The Diplomatic, spiritual, Force User. The Consular is a devoted servant of the Force, and is more of a monk than a warrior. A Consular is able to use a lightsaber, but relies first on negotiation, then on the Force, then on combat. One notable Consular was Qui-Gon Jinn.

He was more than a golem he had intelegance although limited. He was more afrade of hjis suronding and what was hapaning to him. That is why he demanded of his creator that he make him a companion so he was no longer alone in his aturnal afterlife

I just got "Goliath" as my mutant.  Makes sense, not much difference between them and dwarves but their height  ::)
while taking the quiz I laughed for a moment trying to tie in the questions with how they related to becoming a mutant. ;D

for the Beastmaster quiz, I got "shepherd."  Which I like a lot.  Only thing though, the animals I connect with the best aren't exactly "small" but they are a sociable creature and like to run in a herd.  Definitely nailed me spot on though about being attuned to really only one or two species.  I get along well with cats, any and all cats (and yes I mean the big ones too) and horses.  Which is ironic, because one usually eats the other regardless of continent.

As for the Wizards of middle Earth...Saruman the White (Curunír) and both Blue Wizards, Alatar and Pallando...fell to power lust...that is 3 of 5...not good odds lol.  It is all speculation of how, why, or when they fell...but being immortal Wizards and paired, it is unlikely they fell by another's hand, it is generally accepted they joined the very factions they were sent to depress.

There really is not much to read beyond that...no stories, books, or other such.  Just notes and considerations by Tolkien himself...generally it is considered that they did a great service to the West but in doing so may have one too deep within the cultures of the Eastern men and in turn fell as did Saruman.

Another thought is that the Blue wizards fell to their natures...Alatar became addicted to Hunting and Pallando developed a fascination with death. While they started as friends, in the end they became rivals and may well have killed each other off.

Gandalf, the only one of the Wizards who first refused the mission, was in the end, the only one to stay true to it.

An interesting direction for a story by the son should he pursue it...the rise and fall of the Blue Wizards.

Yeah, I couldn't do the quiz either. I run Chrome. I paused Ghostery to see if that would help. It did. Then after I answered the third question, the quiz restarted. I got AF but was in Marines, Coast Guard, and Homeland D.  Though, I have recruited over a dozen into the Air Force  :)

Unfortunately it's all branches of the military. I've already tried to enlist into the Air Force.

The Army has different standards, they may grant you a waiver.

I was a recruiter for the Marines and Coast Guard.  Most things can be waived, if only one.  Some medical issue small and significant can not be waived...wetting the bed, sleep walking, taking brain altering meds, and of course anything that impairs movement or judgement.

And of course any felony can not be waived.

Pretty much anything else though.

Now don't say that, Autistic people may be socially challenged but I've known autistic kids who were far more intelligent  than "normal" people. Besides, if the Military doesn't want you then you don't want them, trust me.
