Title: First meeting of Club Battle Sabers! A Full Contact Dueling club Post by: msconce on September 08, 2013, 07:33:30 AM First meeting of Club Battle Sabers! I am taking the picture, but we had a great time. We will eventually have a round robin tournament where members duel for sound and flash on clash lightsabers as prizes. We train in sword combat and have full contact dueling rounds and group melee.

When I did full contact medieval fighting even with wooden swords we wore full plate armour and you had to be 16 at least. This is just my opinion but I would have a think about health and safety and experience of participants, the point of full contact is generally that the practioners are experienced in light and semi for a fair while beforehand. Just my opinion but there it is, congrats on forming a group though in the first place. Title: Re: First meeting of Club Battle Sabers! We have 5-8 Adults in the group as well and we are the ones that do Full Contact. :) These sabers leave welts like a paintball gun when they ht hard but that teaches you to better your guard. We are having a blast!

Id say true full contact they could potentially be much worse than a paintball gun, Sorry though I didnt realise there were adults involved at all as obviously the site is open to 13 yr olds and up, my sincere apologies and good luck with your group :) |
