Saber Forum

So I love the Scorpion, it is an amazing saber, but I have one issue.
It has to Quick Disconnect (At least without full dis-assembly) So what ever color I choose is there for good.

This is where you all come in.

What color out of Site and Forum colors do you think would look good on the scorpion overall and why?
I want pics if there are examples, and details as to why in cannon that color would be on that hilt.

The best answer chosen by me is going to be what I get it in. (I will choose the AV switch to match)


I know there are color wars going on the forums, I am not weighing in on that because I have almost every color and love them all. I just need to get a Pink blade at some point with Quick Disconnect, but I have an idea for that.

Man, with a saber like the Scorpion it's kinda tough to say. It looks to me like a crazy Sith saber, so BR or PO is a safe bet, but who knows? It'd probably look pretty cool in DVA or even SY, or even (and this is something I'd like to see) in CG. Green is not at all a bad Sith color. Hope I helped a bit  ;D

I got mine in FO and I think it looks great.  I have at least one picture posted in the Orange Outcasts thread.

My brother has a scorpion in CG w/ SRD FoC. He likes it, and I think it is a good shade of green. Emerald green is a great color too.

Personally, I think anything with a claw just screams Sith, but there may have been Jedi that had them on their sabers.

I think PO would look the best on it.

That's a good example of some colors side-by-side. However, the saber you are referring to is a Reaper, not a scorpion. lol

Still, I do agree with you, emerald green looks great. It would look good on any saber.

Hot Pink or Bane's Heart.

Now, I'm not just saying that because there's been no pictures of either colour (http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=15681.msg243215#msg243215) on a Scorpion yet...

The Scorpion is a dark side 'sabre, I don't think there's much doubt about that. It's large, it's heavy, it's brutal, it's spiked, it's got a claw. All factors that suggest a dark side origin.

So suppose its owner came face to face with a Jedi. They fight, and the Jedi wins, killing the dark sider. Intrigued by the unusual weapon, the Jedi takes it and attempts to purge it of the dark side influence that permeates it. We know that use of the Force is essential to the construction of a working lightsabre, that it's infused into its every component and linkage to make it work that much more efficiently and effectively. No Jedi would want to use a weapon tainted with the dark side, then, so our Jedi tries to clean it - a process that'll change the chemical makeup of the crystal inside, too. The Jedi pours all they have into it, fighting every step against the darkness that weighs heavily on this unusual and ominous hilt.

Exhausted, the Jedi collapses and it's only when they come to that they're able to assess their degree of success. To their disappointment, the weapon retains the touch of the dark side. Very much diluted, and no longer anything like as tangible as it was, the purge couldn't remove it completely - and the most obvious sign of that is the blade, which lies somewhere between white and red, neither wholly light nor wholly dark...

That, and I think it'd look cool ;)

Ignore me.  It is the pain meds typing.  Never fight a 400 lb. man that likes to kick to the groin and then get on saberforum.  NOT a good combination.

400 ib Blue? Jesus. I thought I was heavy at 255.

Blazing red is going to be the colour I go with, check out the ultra preview video for example.

I chose blue. It's a Fallen Jedi Guardian's saber. I like the idea that a lightsaber crystal can be so attuned to its force user, that he /she would use it over all other crystals. No matter the nature of the force. Once used to defend, now it's the last color his enemy's see as he mercilessly inflicts his Rage.

Adegan Silver because it's the most unique and you can use color filters to create even more unique colors.

DVA from me. Sith can use deep purple blades too.

I love his reasoning as well being a partly purified Sith saber.

I will be getting hot pink sometime soon, hopefully I can decide after I see that.

I am leaning to the Bane's Heart though.
