Title: Paint Recommendations? Post by: Darth Cinus on October 15, 2013, 10:25:25 PM I have an archon saber body and I was thinking about custom painting the silver part of the body underneath the ridged half of the saber to a black color. I hear that it is difficult to paint aluminum a different color and have it come out ok.
I am not exactly an expert ont he topic but I was wondering if any of you would be able to recommend a kind of paint for me to do this? A brand would be helpful if you can provide it as well as any other details you can provide me. Title: Re: Paint Recommendations? Post by: Crescent King on October 15, 2013, 10:43:24 PM Rustolium is good with bonding to metal, but it's spray paint so you'll have to lay down tape so that it doesn't paint what you don't want it to. But, the best thing you can do for metal is powder coat it. The only problem with powder coating is the cost, you have to buy a three hundred doller machine and stuff.

Probably going to paint that first choke area to gold. Maybe the top part gold and the bottom copper. Heard too that's a good paint to use. Just use painter's tape on the areas you don't want painted.
