Saber Forum

Hey all. I am relatively new to the forums (though I've read through troves of customizations and whatnot), but I have yet to find someone who has a prophecy with the activation box and AV switch.
I've found sources that say you can add it with the cost of an AV switch plus a 20$ requisition fee, but others saying AV switches will not work with a stunt saber.
I am looking to do a custom prophecy to fully resemble the Anakin saber from AotC.
Anybody have experience in this area? Particularly with a stunt no sound saber.

You can't have an AV switch without sound on a saber, due to how the AV switch works compared to the other switch. However, if you get one with sound, you can definitely get a box added to the saber with an av switch, as long as there is room for the box to fit on the hilt's length.

Not exactly accurate as the Graflex can have latching AV switches when there is no sound. To have an AV switch on a stunt saber, you DO need the activation box and a latching AV switch. It's something to email US about first to get set up and have pricing confirmed though.

I added a box to my Dark Arbiter when I sent it in for sound back in May. This is my last customization I did to it:

Bumping this instead of starting a new topic:  Does anyone have a Prophecy V3 with an activation box?  I'd love to see pictures.

To answer this as I have bolth a prophacy and a saber with an ultrasabers actavation box, witch is slightly smaller than the one offered by the other guies. Neither of witch will fit on the prophacy because of the section that is rased vs the section that is milled out is not long enough to fit. Unless you had the means to mill out the section around the avaction switch in order to make it flush with the rest of the hilt, then there is no way to make it fit.

Its a shame really cuz it would look good on the prophacy.

Thanks for the pic Relan.  That's kind of what I thought just eyeballing it, but I wanted to double-check to see if anyone had managed to make it happen.  Oh well.

On a side note, I think that would make for another useful reference thread: a list of hilts that can take an activation box and reference pictures.

it has and can be done, there is a small circuit board on the market for using momentary switches in place of latching (it makes for a much neater install on a stunt. Here is a box I made for Wife's Prophecy named Hematite

It's not a stunt, though this is at least gives on idea of the look

Sky Dragon c5, Archon v2.1
Darth Kitsune, Shock
Aurick, Dark Shock
Relan Tarel, Shock LE/Dark Liberator
Darth_Phobius47, Dark Arbiter

I'm sure the Bane, Overlord, Manticore, Bellicose, Consular, Catalyst, and Omen can all have activation boxes added as well. Honestly, the Bane would look best with one...In fact...(idea for next purchase)

But didn't you have to mill out a part of the hilt so the box would fit propperly?
