So me and my colleague decided to combine our sabers  - a Guardian in GB and a Dark Shock in BR. For no reason, really (long lunch breaks will do this to you...)

Anyway, other than being a Frankensaber/staff, we think the color combination is cool if you think about the sabers - Guardian is TPM Obi-Wan, whereas the Dark Shock is your sinister Sith looking hilt (War Glaive also helps!). So the color range from GB to BR represents the Force spectrum. Or not :)

Below you can see it in action. I especially like the sounds merging, so that you can hear Vader's breathing in addition to regular clash/spin effects.

Are those custom plugs you made?

Ha, no one cares about the stuff but the blade blugs :) Unfortunately, I'm not that skilled so I just Google'd for a while and came across these turbine looking ones. They look better IRL.
