Title: Femme Steampunk Darth Nihilus Post by: SteampunkSith on May 05, 2014, 03:16:15 AM I have completed my Femme Steampunk Darth Nihilus costume! I debuted it today at a May the 4th Star Wars Art Exhibit.
My costume also includes a black velvet cloak, but it was 90 degrees today, and I was hotter than all get out already (no air conditioning in the warehouse the art show was held in - BRUTAL!) Anyway, here are photos we took before we headed out the to art show... I plan to wear it again at Comicpalooza at the end of the month, so I don't know yet if I will add additional Steampunky details to it before then or not. Such costumes are always evolving and getting added on to. I know I add on to my Femme Steampunk Han Solo every time I wear it! Star Wars yet steampunk, I'm loving it!! Point on the costume, because it rocks... and Nihilus is a sweet villain haracter to portray. And I still LOVE that saber lol.

Too bad I didn't see your costume live, its quite impressive!

Too bad I didn't see your costume live, its quite impressive! I was SO FREAKIN' HOT in that warehouse. I was in there for an hour, and slammed a large cup of water at some point (and i had been loading up on water prior to our arrival). Regardless, I still got incredibly dehydrated and overheated. I had a horrible dehydration headache from the time we left until this morning. Yeah, seriously. The next time I wear this will be Comicpalooza, which is, thankfully, in the very air conditioned GRB! |
