Also I'm guessing that the activation switch is from the 'other guys' ? That thing is seriously Bad A** :) Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: whitmers on May 11, 2014, 02:42:22 AM If only I could get the right embed code to work. Grumble.
I carefully had the inner emitter bored out just a touch, milled down the threads on the manticore emitter and then jb welded it! nice and tight. and on the switch, yes ;) Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: Prowl 1701 on May 11, 2014, 03:55:45 AM Just remove the "s" from https. And use the "flash" icon on the tool bar (the bottom left one)

As the dark Guardian! As for adding the Manticore emitter...well there's not enough points to be able to show my appreciation! Point awarded every day I see this thread pop up or at least until US makes the eemitter MHS compatible. Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: Jedijosh on May 11, 2014, 01:23:51 PM I'll at least make it pop up today Kal-el:).
Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: whitmers on May 11, 2014, 01:32:18 PM Thanks for the tip about the upload. I upload videos so rarely due to hating being in front of cameras :\
We could have bored it out to make it fully mhs compatible, but one the groves in the main body towards the tip would have made the wall thickness there so thin, that it might have snapped it off, so we ground down the edges on the emitter and it just slides in. Doable with any mhs compatible emitter. Not that I ever plan to take this one off. It is a fun color scheme that I give credit to "Ninja Jedi" for the idea. It would be interesting to see a dark offering with inverted color scheme... Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: Kal-El on May 12, 2014, 10:09:32 AM Thanks for the tip about the upload. Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: Abraxus on May 12, 2014, 11:15:42 PM Point to you sir, for ingenuity, and sheer bad-assery!
The last time I shopped for a saber, I seriously considered the Guardian, but I ultimately decided on the Archon V2 because it was MHS compatible on the emitter, neck, and pommel. Only one other saber with that kind of versatility, and that is the Arbiter. The overall styling of the Archon decided the tie. However, with the mods you made to the Guardian, I now see it's potential. It might be back in the running next time around! Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: k0brakai on May 13, 2014, 06:43:52 PM This double switch activation box....awesome !
It make me want to customize my sabers more than ever...points ! Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: Darth Decimus on May 19, 2014, 05:23:14 PM ;D Damn bro.....just......Damn.

Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: whitmers on May 22, 2014, 06:09:00 PM Thanks! It's pretty robust and sturdy. It now has a 4.5 inch blade socket.
Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: Jedijosh on May 23, 2014, 02:39:22 PM Sheesh I figured it had to have around a five inch blade sockets, but that makes it one of the deepest blade sockets have another point:).
Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: whitmers on May 31, 2014, 10:44:22 PM It is remarkably sturdy.
Title: Re: UltraSabers Guardian Post by: Jedijosh on June 03, 2014, 04:38:48 PM Yeah with JB Weld it should be :).
