Hello everyone.

I am a new member to the forums and I am going to purchase my first saber tomorrow morning. I was wondering if there are any promotions going on before i place my order. I know in the past there were free initiates and free grab bags. Are there anything like those going on?

Unfortunately no promotions for the time being except the Deal of the Day sabers, which at the moment does not include the Guardian. That sounds like a sweet setup though! Would love to see pics when you get it.

Aww, thanks for the quick reply though! And for sure i'll post pics. I'm so excited for it! Just need my paycheck to get direct deposited at midnight, and then I wont stop thinking about it for the next 5ish days.

Channel 2 - isn't that green? If you aren't using green in your blade colour then your av switch won't be lit. Perhaps check before ordering.

Are you getting nickel plated? I can't recommend that highly enough. My emerald guardian is my favourite saber, and the nickel just makes it better.

Yeah it's green. It's simple,
Channel one: red.
Channel two: green.
Channel three: blue.
Channel four: white, or Amber.

*nods* I know, but I've found it's sometimes better to phrase the information as a question to help the padawans learn the answer.. Haha, yes I know its green. Im not entirely sure if I like an illuminated av switch, so I bound it to green because I will most likely have a bit of green in my blade. I didn't know nickel plating was an option on the guardian. :(  I already ordered it this morning. Oh well. So excited to get it though. Gotta start lifting weights so i can spin this beast.

Outside of the color selection and no need for another covertec clip, that looks awefully close to my dream saber.  :-)  Nice!

Question: The AV switch - what are the choices and how are they realized in the function of the switch?

Do you mean the AV Switch Channel thing? Well, it "just" controls when your switch will be lit, its function is still the same as it is in non-Emerald sabers.

Option 1: Always On = always on, only off if Kill Key is inserted or batteries are out of the saber.
Option 2: In series with Channel x = only on if Channel x is used. Brightness depends on how strong Channel x is set - 0 means off, 255 means full brightness, anything between...well, that just dims your switch. All channels are available for colour mixing.
Option 3: Dedicated to Channel x = only on if Channel x is used. Brightness depends on how strong Channel x is set - 0 means off, 255 means full brightness, anything between...well, that just dims your switch. ATTENTION: THIS MAKES THE CHANNEL X UNAVAILABLE FOR COLOUR MIXING!!

And another thing: Your switch colour is NEVER affected by these settings. It will always be the colour you initially chose.

Yup Emory has a video up in the introduction screen of Emerald before you choose the sabers with or without sound just on the AV switch options

I went for the Always on option for mine as I thought if it's got a power crystal then it should show that it has power by always being iluminated. At times I wished I had grabbed a kill key but I do have a fast recharge port for easy charging which is so worth it

Also forgot to mention if there were offers quite a like the free initiates,grab bags or raffle entries have coupons that need to be put in when placing an order so if you forgot then unfortunately you would miss out.

Thanks for the explanation, Racona.  That makes sense, but I think I need to go watch Emory's video explanation.  Especially since I'm seriously considering adding an AV switch to my existing Dominix sabers.

If your Dominix sabers don't have the Emerald Driver (according to your sig they don't have it), then you don't have to worry about the whole AV switch channel setup. For normal sound sabers the AV switch is wired in a way that it is only lit (and always at full brightness) when the saber is on. No Always On, no dedicated or in series stuff :) My explanation only applies to Emerald sabers that have an illuminated AV switch.

I see a Deal of the day for the scorpion with emerald for 126.65. I can't get that price to reflect in the order, is there maybe something I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help with this matter.

Unfortunately the Deal of the Day specials aren't able to be displayed on the order page. You need to add the order to the cart to see what the total price is with whichever options you've selected.

You can easily remove the order from your cart. There are a couple of other steps to go through before you place an order, so adding a saber to a cart is quite safe as a way of checking the price.
