So I was browsing for better boots and came across these. I think they could pass for Obi-wan style boots even, just needs a 3rd extra top strap added. Tell me what you guys think. =] They come in black or chocolate but only up to a size 9.

They're nice looking boots but ask yourself '' how often am I going to wear them? ''  If you go out in costume a lot, I'm sure they'd be good. But if you're only going to use them a couple of times a year I'd look for something less expensive, but that's my two cents.

Cons are usually all day events and I agree comfortable footwear is a requirement

Zren, I would also like to point out that while they go up to 9 (black) or 11 (brown), those sizes are in women's which are larger than men's with a difference of usually 1-1.5 bigger.

I don't know your shoe size, but you may want to keep it in consideration prior to buying.

Size 9 now days for boots mostly. I think these could pass as men's boots as well giving the design.

Just buy boot gaiters and wear them over Payless Shoes loafers [which usually run for $21.99].  You'll be saving yourself a ton of money and no one can tell the difference.  If you're concerned about height, well that's a different story.  I had my gaiters custom made for $60 total at a local leather shop.  Sure the leather was cheap and a bit flimsy, but it has lasted me since 2012 and I use it for a wide variety of things, sometimes actual yard work, not just costuming as a Jedi 2-4 times out of the year.

I actually have this very same style and type only I bought it at Wondercon 2014 and it ran for about $45.

Needless to say, there are alternatives out there.  There are longer ones as well that show up from time to time.
I like to think it separates you from all of the clones thinking they have to subscribe to some sort of style or standard.  If anything, even if you do go to RL [I didn't because I don't care about them], I doubt anyone will notice as long as you don't make any mention of it.

Eh. I just go for comfort over anything. Those rubber soles will help tons. But I can't buy anything or do any updating right now anyway since were moving again. u.u So yeah I might be off Saber Forum for awhile until we get a new place again. Hope I don't miss the curved saber release. :P

Finding a good deal on Craig's List... that's hard.

I don't Craigs List shop anyway, my aunt and uncle do though than help with rent or food. e.e That's why were in this situation right now. Anyway, yeah, my grandma has an Ebay so maybe she wont mind helping out, plus I need a few more things for my belt as well anyway.
