I held off ordering during the summer sales because I thought they might do a raffle before their next con.  I'm also waiting for a wanted saber to become DotD, although I'm mainly looking at a Crimson Reaper, or a Guardian, or maybe another, my mind keeps jumping around. :P  Best of luck to both of us (and everyone else)though, my friend.

I held off on the Summer Deals thinking this would soon follow. Didn't think it would be THIS soon though.  The fund has enough in it for this raffle, finally, but unfortunately the saber I wanted was the DotD a few days ago, so I will have to see if my secondary or tertiary comes up in the next few days.

I wouldn't complain if the Crimson Reaper popped up.  That and the Azure Reaper are two of the higher ones on my wantlist.  If nothing else interesting comes up I will probably get the Phantasm Initiate staff I have been wanting for a while.  Good luck mi amigo.

I am curious as to your interest in a Crimson Reaper?  Simply because I know you have been excited about other hilts more recently, and looking at your wish list they are further down than others I thought you'd go for.  What ya thinking?

It's hard to say, Hazard.  My mind keeps bouncing back and forth.  I think I'm just in the mood for a different saber and I like the red anodizing on it.  I've also been looking at the guardian and it's not even on my list.  I have so many thought I want. Lol

I personally find that giving a "left" field hilt(one lower on the wish list) a chance and taking a break from ones you've been thinking about for so long can make things fresh and exciting again, kind of like finding a new vision for what you'd like to see/have.  That's what I kinda suspected but wanted to hear your perspective :)

Well, a lot of the ones that are high up on my list are variations of hilts I have, like how I want a Dark Initiate to compliment my Initiate, a Dark Prophecy to go against my two Prophecy hilts, and a regular Shock to go with my Shock LE.  I think I'm ready to try a hilt with a different feel to it like the Consular or Guardian.

Hot Pink, Dark Violet and Blazing Red MLS units - my Manticore looks :o in pink, it must be said. Had enough points to cover almost the whole cost... which says more than I might care to admit about how much I've spent here over the last 18 months :D

Good luck to everyone! I'm gonna sit out the raffles until next year, see what cool new sabers we'll have then! If nothing looks enticing for me, then maybe an Emerald 4ch Bane with an Activation box, I'll pay that extra $20, or an Emerald Guardian 2ch R-G. Definitely gonna go for an Emerald driver with my next purchase, but that's for next year!

I really hope people get more of those wild clawed emitters like last time!

I do want an Azure or Dark Omens, I am a BIG fan of the Thundercats, especially the 80's cartoon.  I'm glad US modeled the Omens after the 80's version of the sword. The Omens is just an expensive hilt and I plan on getting my girlfriend's four-year old daughter an Initiate when I order my own saber. Plus I really want to get FoC with this whatever saber I get this time.

 I'll say it right now, if I do somehow happen to win either the Emerald or Grand prize one of the sabers WILL be an Omens. I'd love to have it hanging on my wall next to my actual 80's Sword of Omens toy (yes, the rare one) Thundercats ho!!!

Edit:  I'd also love the chance to do an in depth review of the Omens.  The best review I have seen so far is Emory's video of the Omens.  I haven't seen a really good YouTube video of the Omens(besides Emory's) in it's true form (Omens Emitter) yet and would love the opportunity to make one.  I love doing my saber reviews.

This is by far the coolest promo that UltraSaber does.

I have to say I like all of the promos. Free grab bag & free initiates are always good at prompting me to buy, as long as there is a saber I want on Deal of the Day during the promo. I've also taken advantage of the discounts on sound/emerald/recharge ports when available, as that usually saves me a lot more than whatever the DotD discount is, but combining them with DotD is pretty sweet.

I consider myself to have been very lucky in the raffles so far having won twice, but not everyone can win a raffle prize.

Postage to Australia is expensive though - eg, today's order is US$96 for postage - so the promos add some needed incentive for me to buy. Actually, I'm not sure why postage was so much today, since a single saber order is usually under US$50

Same here for my postage to europe. I think it is because of the weight/size of the curved saber. Normally, a single saber shipped to france is somehow 40 US dollars but when it comes to curved and the Malice, it goes up to 80 USD. Ah anyway...i'll buy a curved in orde to enter the raffle...or the Azure Reaper wich is on m top wish list for ages !

I'm giving some serious consideration to going for one myself. I'm torn, especially as the first ones aren't likely to ship until after the raffle is over, so there won't be any reviews etc. Still, we'll see...

Just pulled the trigger on the Manticore CE! Can't wait to have that beauty in my hands. Nickel plated in BR w/ SY FoC. I asked for the SY to more on the amber side, so we will see what happens. So excited though!

Right under Blade Option, you can choose nickel plated finish or high polish silver finish.  Your Manticore CE is nickel plated is it not?

I'm not usually an early adopter, and I was never even on the curved saber bandwagon, buy when I saw what a beast it is and the high polish version I knew what my raffle entry had to be.  Good luck to you too in the raffle, whatever your entry may be.

Just entered the raffle with the Azure Reaper, 2ch Emerald. This saber was on my wish list for months, and I used my rewards points to treat myself with this beauty !

Well I did it.  Back when I got my Crimson Scorpion at Phoenix Comicon I told Emory that this was going to be my only saber. (No, I did not know who he was at that time.) Well, Ultra Sabers has made a liar out of me.  Two months later I am now ordering my second saber, a Manticore with Sound (Emerald). But I have learned my lesson. No way am I going to claim that this is going to be my last purchase from US. Even my eleven year old daughter wants her own saber. Thank you to Emory and everyone else at Ultra Sabers.  :D

It's impossible to stop at just one.  An excellent choice on your second saber.  The Manticore is one of my favorites and a hilt well suited to the emerald driver as I think it would look good in just about any color.

Personally, I'm rather disappointed to see so many of you participating in this raffle thing.  It seems like a terrible idea, yes indeed!

I just placed my very first US order today and a already can't wait to get them.  Well actually, I split it  into two separate orders for obvious reasons.  Hay, give me a break, you would have done the same thing to and you know it. :P 

Anyway, here's what I have coming...  A matching set of dark initiate LE's with four channel Emerald drivers, 32" midgrade blades and one of the new adjustable couplers.  Oh, and if  that wasn't a big enough hit on my pocketbook, some nit-wit went and ordered a grab bag saber as well.  Um, okay I admit, that was me.  But hey, at least I'm a love-a-ble nit-wit! ::)

My Manticore shipped today! I should get it on Tuesday. Can't wait to see it in person and finally have a BR saber.

That is the same hilt as my son's, it is top notch!  Like the other hilts you recently got, this one will stun you(in the best possible way) when you first lay eyes on it.  Great choice and good luck!

Crimson Reaper on DotD in time for the summer raffle... Now, if only I could remember who was considering it?

Me.  Stilling thinking about it, but I'm 80% sure this and my gf's daughter's Initiate will be my raffle entry.  I'm having trouble making up my mind for a blade color and an AV switch color.  I think the CR would look good in SY but the SY mix doesn't always come out well.  I don't want either of the blues on a red saber, and green would just look like Christmas too much :P.  I'm leaning towards DVA with the AV switch being silver (I wish they did a purple AV switch).

So my raffle entry is pretty basic, but it IS my first ever Obsidian Saber. DotD Dark Prophecy (was hoping that the Dark version would come after the regular version and it did, yay!) in FO with a Guardian Blue FoC and AV switch. Hoping the Blue/Orange contrast looks cool on a black saber. Good luck to everybody!

Was thinking that a 2 tone prophecy black and high polished silver aluminum would look so good.  You could probably take the dark prophecy and polish up sections of it removing the black ano and shining it up for a killer look.  A little Dremel action with some buffing compound.

Ha - snap Prowl! I was briefly looking at the DVA CR, though with a Red AV switch.

I got a little caught up trying to work out how AV switch lighting worked on an obsidian saber (I'm more used to the Emerald options), and in the end decided I already had enough reapers.

I have to say, I think the anodised red on the reaper looks a lot better than the red on the other crimson sabers. In the photos I've seen anyway.

Got myself the new Dark Mantis. I was looking at buying an Overlord the other day, thinking "I wish they had a curved hilt", and the next morning I found out the Mantis was out. About a week later, I'm sitting here with my DVA Mantis.
It was just pure luck it was in time for the raffle. XD

And I think...I think if I win the Grand or the Emerald prize, I might get a pair of Reapers. If I don't get the Emerald sabers, then they'll probably be in Consular Green with Emerald Green flash. Or maybe I'll get one Crimson Reaper with Guardian Blue/Arctic Blue FoC and one Azure Reaper with Blazing Red/Pyrestone Orange FoC. Of course, the couplers would look a little odd...maybe I'll stick with the black Reapers.

Well, it was between a Mantis or the Nickle Plated Guardian I've been pining for. The Guardian won out! Fully decked with a 4CH RGBW Emerald driver, Blue A/V and RP.  :o

The Crimson Reaper in DVA would be interesting.  I did see a pic of one in SRD and it looked really good, it's not so green as to look Christmas like.  SY would be a good color for it, if you can get a good color mix.  On mine where I got a red flash I got a really good yellow.  It was the one with the silver flash that looked greenish.  I don't know if the flash color had anything to do with it, just some extra information.

I like the idea of the Crimson Reaper in SY. I'm not sure how to get around the inconsistencies with it though, other than a 2-channel (R+G) or 4-channel (RGBA) Emerald driver.

It's nice of you to put your gf's daughter before your own wants, however  :)  Not that you don't already own most of the US catalog when it comes to sabers  :P

I still haven't gotten an Emerald saber yet, all of my sabers are regular stunt or sound ones.  I'd really like to win an Emerald saber so I can find out first hand what I think of them, if I really like it then I will get more in the future (I am addicted as you guys know, lol)  Plus I'd like a chance to do a review on an emerald saber so my subscribers or other non-forum members that watch them can learn about the Emerald option and how to use it. I love doing my saber reviews.

I'd probably get it in SY if I knew the mix would be good, but SY is very much a hit or miss color, I really don't want it to be greenish or reddish or even golden.  I prefer a sun yellow or canary yellow color.  I will probably go with the DVA option and ask for a really dark purple.

 I got the Guardian in Guardian Blue with a blue av switch and Artic Blue flash on clash with obsidian sound.

Yeah, I was five when the animated movie came out and Prowl has been my favorite Autobot since I was three or four years old.  I hated that so many of the Autobots from season 1 and 2 died in the movie.  You should see my Transformer figure collection, it is massive.

The Guardian looks fantastic, it will look great in the traditional AB color.  I considered getting it as well,  need to add it to my wish list.  Good luck in the raffle!

This one is a bit of a milestone for me because this is actually the first one of my many many sabers that I have bought the FoC option for.  The only saber I have that has FoC is the amazing Bellicose I got in a raffle last year, it's in AB and flashes AS.

Cool, interested to see how that Reaper looks.  I'm not a big fan of the anodized colors on hilts, more of a silver and black kinda guy.  Anodized red and blue remind me of chinese bicycle parts, haha.  That initiate is basically the same setup that I got last week, except mine's the Aeon; same color and all.

That's a great video and awesome that you're getting a saber for Leslie.  Be aware though, she is clearly giving in to her emotions during the height of battle which could make her a Form 7 user.  Maybe the purple blade will keep her serene and she won't give in to the dark side. :D

Oh, and having just read your Transformers posts up top it brought up a crappy memory.  When I was a kid I wanted some Transformers so badly and it was coming Christmas time, my birthday or something, don't remember (it was like 30 years ago) and I asked for "Transformers" in general, thinking that I'd get O. Prime, Megatron, you know, something cool!  What did I get instead?  Braun.  Tiny, dark green 4x4 Jeep/Truck dude, in all of his 3 inches of glory, haha.  That's it, no other Transformers.  Still mad about that.

OMG, I can’t (or won't ::) ) stop! I just got some Yari extensions, couplers, and an assortment of midgrade blades so I can have one more entry into this raffle. Sure I would have gotten these items eventually but I didn’t want to pass up this opportunity. Now calm down, take a deep breath, put down the wallet, and step ever so slowly away from the computer.

Just out of curiosity, if you win one of the mega prizes involving 2 sabers, do you have to choose 2 of the same hilt design, or can you choose 2 different sabers?

I almost don't want to think about this, but I would definitely get a Graflex CE as one of my choices. I've had my eye on it for a while, then US dropped the Manticore CE and I had to have it. It comes in tomorrow and I'm soooo excited  :D

I went for a Dark Catalyst, Fire Orange blade, silver AV switch, Blazing Red flash on clash and sound, of course.

I've also ordered the emitter and pommel from a Dark Shock, and a Dark Arbiter neckpiece to put together with the main hilt of the Catalyst, which hopefully is going to look awesome :)

Just got my Manticore CE and it' beautiful. Still can't do anything with it until I leave work and get home  :-\

They must have misunderstood my order comments and instead of giving me a BR w/ SY (more amber) FoC LED unit, I got a FO w/ AS FoC. Not a fan of this color so until I hear back from Emory I decided to go with my true and always faithful color GB and it looks brilliant! Pics below of all:

Huh. Wonder if it's just a coincidence that I emailed Emory asking if he could change my Dark Prophecy order to FO w/AS FoC. He said it wouldn't be a problem so perhaps he was putting your saber together as he read my email or something, and you got my colours  :P

THAT IS SEXY :o  The LED situation is unfortunate, as BR is one of my fav colors and it would have looked perfect on your Manticore.  Point for your pics(thanks!) and for your BR LED delay :)  Your hilt still looks more than excellent in those colors and I can't wait till the red comes too.

Id be interested to know how many entries US gets, after the drawing is over.  Does anyone ever reveal that information?  I'm sure that theyre busy assembling the orders as well as the prizes this week, shipping everything out and preparing for Comic Con in San Antonio this weekend.  Assuming my Prophecy gets here today it will have taken 3 days from order to receipt of saber in the mail, just like my last order.  That's very impressive, all things considered, especially for a "made to order" product like this.

In previous raffles they've put up the order numbers alongside the winner's names (that way you can double check if someone has a similar name to yours!) so from that it's been possible to work out roughly how many orders they get.

I believe for one raffle the order numbers spanned a range of about 400. Some of those may not have qualified, of course.

EDIT: Getting slightly worried that my order hasn't shown up on my credit card statement :D

Dang. My Dark Catalyst ran me 300 bucks, but I got it back around July 16th. If I had waited about two weeks, i could've been in it. Oh well. There's always next time, and I'm still very pleased with my Catalyst.
