Title: My Jedi Tunic is now complete! Post by: Nathan170 on July 31, 2014, 12:25:19 AM Now, the jedi belt finally came in mail earlier this afternoon. I put the stuff together.
My neighbor helped me to create the the tunic from the pattern and I went to the store and bought the fabric. The boots, they are just rain boots nothing special but good for the budget! The pants are just khakis. Now one more thing, robe is coming next on the list! Behold the Jedi Knight Theoian-Wan-Quinn! ;D (http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa326/Nathan_DeHahn/GEDC0056_zps6e609616.jpg) (http://s1192.photobucket.com/user/Nathan_DeHahn/media/GEDC0056_zps6e609616.jpg.html) Title: Re: My Jedi Tunic is now complete! You can always check Boot Barn if you have any near you or the online store for good boots. I'm actually getting a pair of black boots to kind of separate all the browns. Found a pair of perfect size of 17 inches tall like the movies but they only come in black so but its fine with me. This would definitely be good for the Rebel Legion though but they don't allow rubber boots. :P Could check out Khloe's Custom Clothing on Etsy for a quality robe. I haven't bought from them but heard some good stuff. Unless you found something on Ebay?

Eventually, soon enough I will buy the robe from somewhere online. :P Title: Re: My Jedi Tunic is now complete! Post by: HyouTeiGlacier on August 02, 2014, 11:29:22 AM awesome! But they are similar, One of them has a zipper on the side and another does not have a zipper. They look quite good for the budget! :) http://www.amazon.com/Funtasma-Pleaser-Halloween-Captain-100-Brown/dp/B001AH60D8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1407071281&sr=8-3&keywords=Jedi+boots (http://www.amazon.com/Funtasma-Pleaser-Halloween-Captain-100-Brown/dp/B001AH60D8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1407071281&sr=8-3&keywords=Jedi+boots) http://www.amazon.com/CAP100-10-11-Black-Warrior-Boots/dp/B0021290Y2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407071281&sr=8-1&keywords=Jedi+boots (http://www.amazon.com/CAP100-10-11-Black-Warrior-Boots/dp/B0021290Y2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407071281&sr=8-1&keywords=Jedi+boots) Title: Re: My Jedi Tunic is now complete! Post by: chicago.jedi on August 03, 2014, 11:37:48 PM I have seen those boots on cos-players before. They seem decent for the price.
If you have never worn pull on boots before, they are a bit of a different feel and fit than regular lace up boots. You might want to go to a work boot store and try on a pair of pull on welders boots or a place that sells cowboy style boots. See if you have a hard time getting the boots on and off. If you do, you might want to go with the side zipper style boots. The zippers are not that noticeable and will keep you from destroying the boots while putting them on and taking them off. The brown ones would look good with your belt. Title: Re: My Jedi Tunic is now complete! Post by: ed_ification on August 04, 2014, 12:21:37 AM The only thing that I would change - and this is a personal taste - would be to have some embellishment or colored piping along the edges of the tunic, to help give the layered look. You can see the layers in close up, but it seems more like a single garment in your picture.
However, that's just my opinion - if you're happy with the outfit, that's what counts! And I've had boots like that before... while good for short costume stints, if you're spending any length of time in them, your feet WILL ache. To my mind, having a good pair of boots is like saving up for an Ultrasaber - tough to do while you get there, because dang there are cheap options along the way, but so worth it when you get to a boot that will last for years. Title: Re: My Jedi Tunic is now complete! Post by: Nathan170 on August 04, 2014, 01:16:13 AM For my taste, I just prefer the classic bright tan colored tunic. It seems to suit me well.
The price is fine and I did some research on the boots for awhile lately. I am actually thinking about buying it. Hold on that for now, I am looking for another boots online. To see if there is any other boots in under 100 dollar price range. Title: Re: My Jedi Tunic is now complete! Title: Re: My Jedi Tunic is now complete! Post by: Zren Tobas on August 04, 2014, 06:11:03 AM Yeah I have the cap-100 brown boots and they killed my feet this year at Comic Con, even had gel inserts. x.x I have a bad back so and that didn't help either. Keep updates if you find good, better boots similar in style. =]
