Title: StormTrooper Helmet 'Mount' Post by: magik0012 on August 05, 2014, 09:17:16 PM So.. I have an old vinyl Episode IV StormTrooper helmet and I was pondering the possibility of repurposing it into a saber dispay holder.
Something like this.. if you'll pardon the horrendously quick-n-dirty photoshop job (http://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3864/14652537157_ac10560802_c.jpg) It would need some weathering and battle damage added to it, but seems like it might work out.. And just FYI, the helmet has seen better days.. it's probably 10+ years old, is missing both lenses and I swear it has shrunk.. or my head has gotten HUGE as I've aged.. Are you planning on making a "sheath" of some kind to fit inside the helmet, so that the blade of the saber will slide through it? I love the war trophy look. I have my sabers on a small stand in hilt only form with a bunch of junk like a holocron, food capsules, code cylinders, etc. to make it look like a collection of junk from a lifetime as a Jedi.
