Title: 2 Initiate LE V2's - First Ultrasabers Purchase (totally not my last)
Post by: toby495j on September 18, 2014, 02:11:41 PM
I've been a bit obsessed with Lightsabers lately in general, which led to me purchasing the Force FX Darth Vader's saber.... then Kit Fisto's..... and I kinda needed to keep the rhythm going... So in looking for more lightsabers than just movie-based hilts, I stumbled upon Ultrasabers -

Initially I was just fascinated with how thin many of their hilts were in comparison to the Force FX ones. I got some pretty short fingers, and it's quite difficult to do any spin moves with something as bulky as Vader's hilt. So, because of all these factors, I eventually decided to order two Initiate LE V2's - one in Fire Orange, the other in Sunrider's Destiny. Both blades were 32' midgrades, with a standard blade plug for each hilt. I gotta say... it's pretty hard to put one of these things down once you pick one up...

The Sabers -

I also bought a connecting piece to see what it was like to wield a double-bladed saber -

And lastly, the blade plugs -

Overall, I'm impressed. Ultrasabers clearly has quality in mind when they create these sabers. The colors are beautiful, and they look great to practically anybody, even non-Star Wars fans. These sabers are tough, and have even made it out fully functional after having several friends handle them (still regretting that quite a bit). Because of how great these were, I even bought one of my friends a Dark Initiate LE V2 in Sentinel Yellow for his graduation gift and he loves it.

Soon, in fact, very soon, I plan to purchase an Emerald saber with Obsidian Sound to really top off my collection. Some might think this is too big of a purchase after only discovering a company, but in all honesty, just these two stunt sabers and multiple review videos have convinced me that Ultrasabers makes really great lightsabers - with or without sound. I'm hooked now....

Fellow Saber User... I love the color combo.  They complement each other perfectly.  I think you may changed my mind about my previously selected colors(Consular Green and Guardian).  Have a point for those beautiful pictures.  What's your preference, Light or Dark?

@gebhac       I gotta say that I lean a bit more towards light, but not too much. Almost an in-between. But as regards the colors, I knew I needed orange (favorite saber color in any game that has it ever) but it took me awhile to figure out a second one. I'm really happy that these two went together so nice when turned 'em both on. Especially when doing a basic spin with the double bladed saber, then your eyes are all like   O.o

That is a great looking color combination, and very nice pics too.  Welcome to the world of Ultrasabers.  8)

Light Point Awarded.  They look fantastic in the mid-grade blades.

That's a fine pair of 'sabres you have there - they look great together. Sunrider's and Orange look great together! Point for some great pictures :)

Great start to your UltraSabers collection!  I recently got my hands on an Initiate V2 for the first time and it feels great in the hand.  Since I have larger hands it would have to be a 1-handed hilt for me but it's perfect for spinning and practice.  As for colors, I got a grab bag recently in fire orange and really like the color.  SRD is probably next on my list as well; such a nice color.

Congrats on your first UltraSabers!  I'm sure that you'll want to expand your collection soon.

I've been thinking about this colour combo for a while now. It looks stunning and I think I finally know what colours to get my phantasm in. :) Point for you.

Hi.  Just received my Phantasm LE v2 staff today.  Colors are AB and VA.  Both nice strong complementary colors.  The AB is brighter with an UEMG blade and the VA in standard MG.  The narrower hilts are just great for my hands and will improve my spinning ability.  Am going to get the Phantom Le version as well.  Not sure of what colors, but these you have chosen are quite nice together.  The Initiate length may be too short for my preference, but it's a sturdy starter staff and individual sabers.  Hope you have someone to practice and duel with.  A point your way for your detailed review and photos.   :)

Excellent first pair of sabers I like the color combo I think they work well together and from personal experience things do get better when you hold the Emerald with obsidian saber with all the features for the first time

If I may make a suggestion if your planning to get an emerald saber is to choose a hilt that is force neutral as they look great in pretty much any color whether it favors the jedi or the sith side. It's great to see such positive reviews and hope to see whichever future sabers you do get
