Title: Raffle Prize - Yea!!!!
Post by: Darth Calico on October 06, 2014, 08:51:51 PM
Hi All,

First off, I want to than US for drawing my order number in this raffle!  Its amazing how many sabers they sent out!  This, I m sure, is a huge cost to the company but such a great way to enrich the saber community!  I am very thankful for the gift that I received!  Sorry, that it has taken a while for me to submit this thank you note/pics.

I won a third prize in the most recent raffle.  I received the gift in the same box as my ordered, raffle saber and this really was awesome as I didn t expect it to be included in the box.  Not sure why I thought this as it makes complete sense and saves US on some shipping costs.  Anyway, I ordered a Dark Prophecy with a RGBA Emerald driver.  I opted to order without sound as during my review of my last saber one of the posters gave me the idea.  As I work in my last review (Chosen One) I was a bit hesitant to go about dueling due to the cost of the saber and due to my infatuation with the design (it is/was my precious!).  I hope to get some pics up on the Dark Prophecy along with some of my other sabers in the future.

On to my present from US!  I was elated to find that I had one a Liberator v3.  This is really the first saber that I ve owned that is predominately polished aluminum, giving it a more light-side ambiance.  To assist with the light-side theme, the saber blade color was guardian blue.  Again, the blue was a first for me (most of my sabers have been ordered with blazing red).  I really like the look of the blue!  It is a great color!  I also really like the emitter on this saber as well as the silver guarded switch.

As I m a bit of a guy who likes to keep his sabers cleaned up and looking good, the first thing I did (you know after switching it on and off about a hundred times and chasing my wife with it), I used some polish to shine her up!  I used the only polish I had, which is called  Flitz  which is used often in gun smithing as a metal polish.  This really gave the saber a great luster!  I ve got some pics below.  Please excuse the mess on my desk and the product gun mat (not trying to advertise):

Can't seem to get my photos to work - any advice????

I use photo bucket. Upload the pics to your account there then copy and pate the bottom o the share links into your topic (you can get to the share links easiest from your library. Hover over the settings cog on the picture you want to share (the cog is in the upper right hand corner of the picture) and click on the share links option in the menu that appears. Copy the bottom link (in photobucket you just click the link and it copies it for you) then paste it in your message)

Great collection, Darth Calico. That Liberator looks really nice polished, but I think my favorite in your collection is that modified Catalyst you have there. Point for you for both  :)

Thanks for you comments!  The saber looks great when it is polished. The modifications to my catalyst were really simple. I used black o-rings on the grips and an emitter I had laying around. I think the catalyst would also look good with the overlord emitter. Again, thanks for looking at my post.

Yeah that's a nickle plated Liberator. Wonder if its being brought back regularly. Looks nice. Like to see the saber with a blade in though. =]

Cool. How did you get a V3 nickle plated Libby though? Always wanted one out of the nickle plated sabers. :P Bet it looks awesome in person. I might get me a Guardian Blue Liberator now over Consular Green.

This was my raffle prize. I did not have any configuration options. It was delivered with my order. I'm betting that you could email US and ask for the option. On a side note, I did polish the hilt up a lot.  😄

Thanks!
