I think the video will do a good job of covering the mantis as well as my first bad luck experience with the saber in the first 2 weeks of owning it. This is my first ever product review, I'm not a behind the camera guy at all (my channel is harsh vocal covers lol) so this is new territory and will improve if new sabers come into hand. Enjoy! The clear blades do look best for Fire Orange. I would've gone Violet Amethyst for mine though but the silver edition Mantis. :P

Was hopping it would pop up before Halloween but that doesn't seem to be happening. Oh well there is always Christmas.

It was 138 if I recall correctly around mid September. Worth it if you want to do Makashi or Shien style possibly fencing but other than that I'd suggest a straight saber. I have never had a blade tip come off, but it would suck if you had to go looking for it outside in the dark. It might be time for Ultra Sabers to invest in a proprietary sound board / emerald / battery / speaker housing. I know hot glue is a turn off for a lot of their critics. And you are right, for the price, you expect something a little more solid. I am sure it all comes down to scale of production. Buying components from the market as opposed to creating their own in-house is probably all they can manage at the moment.
As far as the sound fonts you are using not sounding as good as the default, they may be fonts that forum members have created and shared. I don't know if Ultra Sabers can be held accountable for that. Title: Re: First purchase and experience! Only time I had a tip come off is when I took a knife and pried it off myself then Guerrilla glued it back on. I had a slight wire issue with my Dark Shock but that was my own fault i pulled the BuckPuck out too far and it pulled a wire. As for the internals in general US is in my opinion the best on the market. My friend bought a saber from Saber Forge and returned it after a month of noting but problems. Needless to say he is now a proud US owner lol. Regarding the fonts I personal like a lot of them. Some sites charge for their fonts so at least ours are free.
ANY WAY! to my point I JUST ORDERED MY DARK MANTIS! I can't wait for it. It'll be here FRIDAY! Ordered it literal THIS MORNING and it is already out and will be here in 2 DAYS! |
