Actually got both on two separate attempts to purchase  a dark initiate V3 to pair with my Dom V3, (was going to put an initiate blade in the Dom and 16" spear blade in the DI for a short saber light dagger combo),...

Alas, two of the same Prototype Initiate showed up each time giving me my new PROTO-STAFF!!!

Went straight to being mounted!

It is the first thing I see upon entering my office..

Yeah, I've seen the larger models, just couldn't tell which one this was with the staff configuration.

Well, couldn't be a coincidence getting two of the same unreleased hilt in the same configuration.  I've said it before and I'll say it again; YOU must have incriminating photos of someone important, hahahahahaha...

Seriously though, that staff looks great.  It appears that US is going to continue to torment us at least for a while longer.  Pretty sure that I'm going to need one of those when it comes out, after all, I don't actually own an Initiate myself.  We have a V2 for my daughter, but this is totally different.

I dig it.

Wait, is that the first sighting of the Aeon V4 LE with windowed/slotted emitter?  There are so many unreleased models showing up lately that I can't keep up.  I recall a similar Dominix with the windowed/slotted emitter, and I remember the Aeons that Julmax and a couple other people got with the other emitter type, but not this.

So, you got these when you tried to order a dark initiate v3? Did you get the v3 as well, or did they just send you the prototype instead? D; Or did you go for grab bags with your order and get really lucky? Or was it during the free initiate give-away? Or during the raffle? SO MANY QUESTIONS. D;

Or are these from one of the recent Comic-Con's that Ultrasabers has been attending? I so desperately want one (at least) of these new Initiate v4's and the wait until they're officially announced is killing me.

Ah, now that I look at them, I think that what I thought was a slotted emitter is glare from the camera flash.  It appears that these are similar to the one that Julmax received.  Awesome staves.

I was told I was lucky coz I got those that are presumed to be Initiates V4 LE (what is what is still a mystery to me sometimes, kinda new here haha) and I'm usually not lucky so I'm happy it's changing lol... I got them coz I ordered 2 sabers through the Free initiates promotion period

For me I got them trying to get a DI V3, both on separate occasions. On one order I did a Grab Bag and a dark Initiate V3 got my GB and a Proto, second order was a Dark Prophecy with Obsidian, ANOTHER dark Initiate V3 (or so I thought) and a free initiate that was a V2..

So, basically if you order a v3 there's a chance they'll send you a proto instead? That's pretty incredible.

In certain areas I feel this to be true, depending on what is in stock/ out of stock. Like if they are going to release a V4 they may be shipping them out instead of the V3, or if they are out of the V3 then they may send a V4 in place. I think every bit of it is circumstantial.

Or maybe they're already out and just haven't updated any pictures yet. Could happen I guess. Just a thought from me though.

I knowtice that some things seem to happen before others.
Like the Halloween specials were up and active before they posted them online or email or the like.

We shall all just sit, stew, and theory craft until.. :-\

I say just release the new sabers early. :P
