Title: Scorpion question Post by: InventiousTech on December 26, 2014, 03:52:19 AM Hey,
So I just started looking into this, and I want to build a saber from Ultra Sabers. I looked around the forum and I can't seem to find an answer to this. To make a long story short, I have an obsidian sound card but nothing else. Unfortunately, the design I really want is the scorpion, which seems to only come as an assembled saber. That's my first question: is there a way to get just the hilt/emitter/pommel for the Scorpion? If so, I can get the other necessary parts and put it together myself. Otherwise, could I get a pre-built model without sound, and install the sound card myself? It seems to me that I can get the regular Scorpion with the lithium-ion battery setup, and replace the battery holder with this one: http://www.ultrasabers.com/product-p/z-sound-aacombo.htm. (http://www.ultrasabers.com/product-p/z-sound-aacombo.htm.) After that I just have to re-wire it with the Obsidian card in place. Would that work? Thanks in advance for the help. You will need to change the switch too because stumnt sabers use latching switches but sound sabers use momentary. I don't think they sell scorpion parts ,except the pommel because the are possible alignment issues. The emitter the shroud and the body have to be lined IP right for the claw to fit and the windows to match. Based on mine I suspect those parts are assembled then machined to match.
