You ma'am have just decided for me which saber will be my next. I'm thinking sentinel yellow, and a pointed tip for that clone wars look.

 I agree with you on the weight issue incidentally, it's very much what you're used to that counts, i train with steel weapons with rebated edges, a three pound sword feels considerably heavier in the hand than any US i've come across, and a three pound viking sword feels heavier even than that. To be honest, the matter of mass in the hilt can actually be a problem, i find i don't get the best out of my saber unless i've deliberately not used my steel weapons for a while, i have to get used to really pushing the hilt downwards sometimes, and that's really not an issue with real steel, quite the opposite.

Good review, and that is a good lookin saber you got there! The Bellicose looks like a classic type saber, very nice.

I was beginning to wonder if the resident spokeswoman for the Bellicose would make a review.
It sounds like it's as I expected, an excellent saber and a "serious piece of equipment".

It's always nice to see someone actually hold a saber when you're wondering about it.

Very nice Bellicose =] I want to send in mine for an Emerald upgrade so badly. Still have main color Guardian Blue but pulse to Arctic Blue then flash yellow =] But for now when I can I'll just be getting me a new Ultra Edge Heavy Grade for mine. I have the Episode 6 font on right now. I switched the button color to gold and short grooves pommel for mine when I got it and silver blade holder as well. Right now its just got an older Heavy Grade blade with tons of dents from switching blades with another older saber I used to have so the dents are showing some

I have to admit i was concerned about the covertec, but seeing you actually hold it i realise it'll be clear of my left hand by a decent margin.
I was considering modifying the hilt a little too, mainly just the colour scheme, i was thinking of filling in the black lines in gold, and then the grooves in the grip section with silver.

The covertec doesn't get in my way at all.  In fact, I think it's a nice "finger rest" for certain grips.  It lets me know I'm putting my hands in the right places!  Your mod ideas sound pretty sweet, too.

Sounds like you use it the same way i do the disc pommel on my hand&half sword, it's not a terribly comfortable thing to grip, but it's useful for a sort of "trigger grip" and pivot point. With a traditional blade it helps with edge alignment too, although that makes zero difference with a lightsaber of course!

Finally, I was expecting the representative of The Bellicose to do a review! I am also very glad to know that I'm not the only one considered the "the crazy lady down the street with a lightsaber". And props to you for the awesome color, SRD is fantastic! (or any variation of its lovely tealness). Hope your ceiling fan stays in shape, point awarded.

You'll love the Guardian, just keep in mind that it's
not that conducive for spinning/weilding. The hilt
is bulky and busy. With that said, it looks totally
awesome as a canon saber. By all means order the
sucker, just thought you should know.

1. You remind me a TON of Lucy Lawless.

2. The Bellicose is basically the greatsword of the Ultrasabers world, judging from the length of it in the video.

ok, thats it.. you have all inspired me to create .. wait for it... light-ring sabers.....    thats right.. Xena's famous ring weapon.... but in a lightsaber fashion.. cant say it will be soon, but i already have the cogs turning in this crazy swamp hermits head... its gonna happen down the road for sure..

Lol...it would seem that I need to reimburse you at some point then for causing the destruction of your electronics. OR...you could always think of me as being the reason you got a better phone. :D

You'd have to make it to where you could hold it in the center, kind of the way the Inquisitor's lightsaber is in Rebels. You'd also have to be pretty damn precise when catching it or it would be the last time you caught anything.

You know, I WAS going to buy a Dominix next, but now that I've seen several video reviews of the Guardian?  Uh.  I think I have to have that instead.  It looks like the Bellicose on crack. 

If it weren't for the price, I'd already own a Guardian. I've always loved that beautiful design.

I love that you all consider me "The Official Bellicose Representative" LMFAO!  I do just love this saber.   And I mean, I was "the crazy down the street" already, but now, I have a LIGHTSABER!  Ha ha!

Oh, I just want that one because of Obi-Wan.  Like you said, very canon!  I do want to have a few that are just for looks.  I probably won't get sound with it.  I just really love the hilt!

If you look in my signature, you will see the original Jedi Code.  It openly advocates balance.  If you deny EITHER side, Light or Dark, then there is no balance.  Sure, we all lean more towards one than the other.  I'm Light-leaning.  Maybe someone else is Dark-leaning.  Neither is good nor bad.  They simply are.  :)

I just got myself a Bellicose. Blazing red, illuminated red switch with Starkiller and Vader fonts on it. I love the thing. Even when the blade is off I can't seem to put it down for more than an hour.

I'm Grey Nox, so that includes a nice balance of both, I think.  Angry Nox is angry sometimes.  Like, Anakin Skywalker Level 9 angry.  I don't find anger to be "bad."  No emotion is "bad."  It's what you do with it that causes a problem.  :)

So you favor balance then? We should start calling you EquaNox. ;)

I dig the flickering effect the most, I think.

Oh, jsut a quickie, if you want an unstable look, i'd actually recommend your emerald flicker settings not be even.
 Usually, they end up at 0.04, 0.04   or 0.02, 0.02,   but mixing and matching works pretty well. usually if the brighter setting is longer, it looks compressed, if it's shorter, you get the unstable look, as if there are surges of higher power

The closest you'd likely be able to get without messing with the blades would be using two flickers at once, but you'd need multiple cards and a custom LED. More trouble than it's worth really.

 What i'd do with this is (let's say we're making a red blade primarily) use an RGBR led unit, and have the two R dies controlled by separate cards, along with the G and B. you could give these R dies their own flicker, like we already do with the emerald, but you could give each red die a flicker out of phase with the other.

 That way you'd get dim and light moments in your sequence, as well an apparently non-uniform flicker in the background.
A much simpler and cheaper way would be to use it jsut for videos, and simply put it on in post-effects.

I have absolutely zero idea.  I don't own any gloves.  I mean, I wear a woman's large in workout gloves, but they are fingerless and my fingers are super long.  I can span an octave and a 3rd (maaaaaaaaaaybe a 4th) on the piano pretty easily, if that tells you anything.

Lol, I went to music school for 4 years, believe it or not.  I quit before I got the degree (went back later and got 2 completely different degrees).  But yes, I can play the piano.  I wouldn't call myself "good" by any stretch of the imagination, but all music majors were required to learn every instrument.  Piano is one of my better ones, but I still can't read bass and treble clef at the same time to save my life!
