So when I decided to get back into the hobby, I bought one I had been wanting for a very long time. AND fortunately, I also got a matching initiate. I bought the Manticore in SY, with Obsidian, FoC orange, and an illuminated AV switch. I had been wanting an SY saber for a while and thought this would be the perfect hilt. I love this hilt AND sentinel yellow, but I've been reticent to plunk down for one because of the greening issue you mentioned with your initiate. I want to get two of these and ultimately connect them into a saber staff, but I don't want two different yellows! I was thinking of just getting an AS saber and get my yellow through filters, but that gives me no FoC, which is not the end of the world, but still. I don't really want to plunk down the extra cash for the emerald driver.. so yeah, feeling a little stuck.

Perhaps you would consider starting your own topic so your concerns can be addressed with more members noticing and responding with their SY experiences. I have a Obs. AS saber with FoC. :)
