Title: Considering my first saber - thoughts? Post by: TClegg1024 on April 07, 2015, 01:26:03 AM Hi all!
Right now, I'm considering purchasing my first saber. I'd like to get it custom with sound and everything (naturally.. :) ) Looking at another thread, I see the following parts are MHS compatible and would play nice together. Am I right? - War Glaive Emitter w/claws x4 - Catalyst Choke - Shock Body - Scorpion Pommel What would I need to do to get the electronics/LEDs installed and everything (I'm very lousy with soldering and such myself and no one I know is skilled at such. :( ) Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. :) Thanks! Post by: Molina00 on April 08, 2015, 07:17:51 PM Since you don't want to do the soldering it seems like your best bet would be to order a Shock with sound and any related options you want, then order the War Glaive emitter and Scorpion pommel separately. The Shock would come with electronics pre-installed that way, you would just need to swap out the emitter and pommel. Just my opinion but I don't think you would want the Catalyst piece, and I'm not sure it would even work. The War Glaive emitter is fairly long with the claws attached and is a bit concave like the Catalyst choke point. I hope this helps and welcome to the forum. :)

Post by: Choco on April 11, 2015, 04:51:27 PM you could add the catalyst choke or a choke from other guys so long as it's MHS compatible however I would suggest getting quick disconnects so you can add the choke. Naturally the wires are usually pretty short since they are quite stuffed inside the saber so if you wanted to add a choke you may need to get a wire that fits the quick disconnects to use as an extension your local electronics hardware store should have wires and connectors pretty cheap
