Title: Dark War Glaive Saberstaff Post by: MikaelPfeffer on June 25, 2015, 12:09:11 AM Its finally arrived!
2 Dark War Glaives with silver claws, 1 vented adjustable coupler, 2 32" UEHG blades 81" overall, 29.5" claw to claw, 21.5" grip-able space Total weight - 3.25 lbs Workmanship is awesome, milling precise, weight is comfortable with no rough edges.... After the storms pass, I'll try some more advanced moves and spins, but even the basics feel smooth with this combination.... It's actually shorter than my Dark Arbiter saberstaff I got in the Raffle!. I'll let the pics below speak for themselves.... Great job UltraSabers and hats off to Emory for his patience and help through the wait! http://i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt227/Nairdowell/Star%20Wars/Dark%20War%20Glaive%20-%20Combo%20-%20Closeup%20-%2025_zps59zw1eip.jpg http://i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt227/Nairdowell/Star%20Wars/Dark%20War%20Glaive%20-%20Combo%20-%20Full%20-%2025_zpsscc8jmxs.jpg Title: Re: Dark War Glaive Saberstaff Post by: Caylem on June 25, 2015, 12:34:22 AM It looks very nice!

Title: Re: Dark War Glaive Saberstaff Post by: JDScholler on July 15, 2015, 06:14:37 AM That might be the sickest staff I've seen yet! Great job and well worth the wait I'd say!
Strange technical question: If you are spinning the staff off your body, do the claws catch on clothing? It would be great if you can use them as barriers between your body and the lightsaber blades. Assuming of course the handles are long enough to do so fluidly and without hitting yourself with the claw points. Or do you need to hold it away from your body while spinning it? Title: Re: Dark War Glaive Saberstaff Post by: MikaelPfeffer on July 15, 2015, 11:37:04 AM There's a narrowing just before the claws that gives your hands a registration point for how close to the claws you are. This allows you to use the entire length freely without worry of placing your hands one the blade. While spinning, I keep the staff away from my body but the blades come in close. This staff is slightly harder to spin as it has fewer grooves to grip when changing hand positions, but still fun. The only time claws may catch on loose clothing would be the behind the back moves, but haven't been an issue so far....

I don't think I've seen one of these put together like this, but you nailed it!
