Title: Graflex CE with sound and Initiate LE V 4 stunt saber review revised
Post by: jedi515 on July 18, 2015, 05:51:42 PM
This is a revised review of my Graflex CE with sound and Initiate LE V 4 stunt saber.  About a month ago I Purchased a Graflex CE with sound and received a free Initiate LE V 4 stunt saber with purchase with the summer deals.  The Graflex Ce came with a 36'   ultra edge heavy grade blade with Arctic Blue and silver flash on clash.  It's top and bottom buttons are red like in episode IV A new hope and episode V The empire strikes back. I have the standard Obsidian sound fonts with this saber.  I ordered a blade plug and covertec clip with it and a second VP 1 charger.  As far as an this saber goes it live up to my every expectation and is a nice addition to my movie collection of sabers.  The reason why I am doing a revised review is because of the two new blades that I have ordered and the Two new sets of lithium ion batteries.  I really like the ultra edge heavy grade blade for the way it looks with arctic blue and dueling purposes, however do to the weight of the hilt in combination with the weight of the ultra edge heavy grade, I ordered a mid grade blade that not only looks great with arctic Blue but also makes the swinging and other sounds 98% accurate.  Where if I were using my ultra edge heavy grade blade I would probably be better off if I were to go online with the saber and adjust the sound settings and put a little more arm strength into it.  I just haven't gotten around to going on line with it yet.
As far as the free Initiate LE V 4 stunt saber, it had some with a 24' ultra edge blade and Guardian Blue and a black guarded switch with a blue sticker for indicating the blade color which I think is a nice tough.  the 24' blade is great for one handed use and some times 2 handed use, i'm just use to the full length blade for how I use my sabers.  The ultra edge heavy grade blade for Initiate Stunt saber that I ordered looks great in my opinion with Guardian Blue and adds nice weight to the light weight hilt and does well for spinning and so on.  I really don't think that i'm going to need a lighter blade for this saber anytime soon.  As far as the two extra sets of lithium ion batteries it is nice to have them for continued use of ones sound sabers when charging the previous set or what ever....

It's top and bottom buttons are red like in episode IV A new hope and episode V The empire strikes back.

Are you sure about that?

I've been trying to research that and haven't had a lot of luck finding original source shots clearly showing the button color on BOTH sides.   It hasn't been overly obvious to me whether they're both red or not.

I'm just curious what you found.  Thanks.

Graflex buttons, which is what the original saber was made from, are red. In ANH the top button was red and the bottom button area had a "glass eye" which is really just a clear looking button lens. In ESB both buttons are red.
