Title: Scorpion tear down help
Post by: CDStarsong on August 17, 2015, 06:53:00 AM
If anyone can help me here, it would be MUCH appreciated.

Does anyone have ANY links to a tear down/disassembly of a scorpion? I know there used to be a video on youtube of what im looking for, but its since been taken down. I looked all over the internet and found nothing other than a picture of one in pieces. The main thing I want to do is take the claw off mine. I see the screws for it in the emmiter, and even got an allen wrench in there and got a grip on one of the screws, but it wouldnt budge at all. Can it be taken off without a full tear down?

Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help!

Pretty much what I want to do is take the claw off my scorpion, and need to know if its just the two screws I see in the emmiter, or do I have to completely take the thing apart.

Yep - that's it.  Just make sure you are using SAE and not Metric, or you might strip the screws.

Thanks for the help man, one last question, do you know which size allen I need? Want to make sure the set im about to buy has the right size in it (sadly I have a TON of allen wrenches, but they are all loose and dont have any markings telling me size or type!)

Pretty sure it's a 3/32.

This is the set I got @ Home Depot.  Long-arm SAE; it's been very useful.
