So.....Ultrasabers, when can we expect a fall raffle? I'm wanting to buy a new graflex for the Force Awakens premier, but its foolish to buy one when there's not a sale or raffle going on. Help me ultrasabers, you're my only hope.

Hi.  I received a PM from a thoughtful member who asked Emory similar questions regarding future promotions, sales and raffles for this year.  This may not be written in stone but the reply response indicated that the US staff are inundated with all the orders from the Cons, Halloween, SW movie and Christmas.  Also there is available saber stock issues ( waiting for replenishing ).  Bottom line unfortunately is to not hope or wait for an upcoming anything for the remainder of the year as they most likely would not be able to accommodate the immediate surging influx of orders.

Yes it's a downer but US have been and most likely will continue to give us nice bonuses whenever they can.  We can always hope and use our Jedi mind tricks on them.  Sith force choking is not a good idea to encourage them to reconsider.   :D


EDIT:  As per Emory " We will re-enable these once we are caught up on our current backlog.  I do not currently have an ETA on when that will be though.  With Halloween coming up and then Christmas right after it may not be for quite a while with all the excitement around sabers right now.  Very sorry about that. "   This is only part of the response to give us some hope for this year.   :D

That's a shame. You would think they would want to capitalize on the opportunity to promote something with the release of the new movie to really boost their sales and brand. But it is what it is.

The guys and gals at US are working harder and for longer hours than anyone can reasonably expect.  We still want our sabers within a shorter waiting period and US wants to be able to deliver a quality product.  They also want to be able to enjoy all the upcoming events without feeling totally burnt out.  You still can order your saber if it's in stock or use a trusted old friend since you have some fine sabers already.   ;)

That's a fair point. I know when I buy a graflex I want to either get it discounted because it's so expensive, or have the chance of winning something. I will patiently wait for the right time and continue to enjoy my collection I have now. My emerald consular is still and will always be my "baby"

I feel ya. the hellidays always has me drained. but I have 3 bdays on top of gift giving ceremony. just seems to get turned into a longer list as time goes on.

I know right. I was gonna get me a Bane and a few other goodies for a possible sale or first raffle then for Christmas get my brother his first saber with sound of course, Consular, his favorite obvious character and stuff. But oh well. Maybe we'll still get lucky though. US is awesome like that =]

possible. know a couple of my siblings would kill for one. grand kids aren't old enough....yet

I'm ok with waiting until the next sale promotion to get a good deal on a saber, but I'm kind of thinking about an Archon V2.1, so hopefully they don't stop making them before their next promotion. If anybody has any thoughts on that, I'd be more than happy to hear them (aka hopefully they continue to sell them!).

Well one never knows for sure if or when a saber will be discontinued or re-vamped.  But the Archon is a very popular saber so the v2.1 model should not be going anywhere soon.  And the v3 thin neck emitter is supposed to be able to fit on to it.   Not sure if the new emitter will work well with other saber styles.   :)

Yeah once the movie comes out, everyone and his grandmother is going to want a Graflex and probably a Renegade too.

Just think of how much money you're saving up while waiting for the next offer :) I tend to take advantage of them as it offsets the shipping cost to the UK, but I'm kinda enjoying seeing my saving account build up a bit in anticipation of my next purchase, too!

Actually, I think the sales promotion is already well and truly happening with the new movies. That's mainly why sales are surging irrespective of Christmas etc.

I'm just going to hold off on my next big order. Was going to put a lot of money in, but I think my best bet will be to be patient for a raffle or sale. If I'm going to put that much money in, I'd rather chance getting something awesome out of a raffle or hit a good sale since I doubt I'll be spending that much again for a long time.

Would you get more reward points by not buying during a discount period?

The savings on a deal may run around $30-50 depending on what order I place, so that more than makes up for the discount points saved on an order. You'll still earn points on the money you spend.

So I guess it boils down to "How much is your impatience worth?" >:D
