Hey guys! I've been searching these forums and the ultrasabers website for about a month now, and I finally just made my first order (it's quite a large order too). I would just like to get everyone's thoughts on the choices I've picked for this order. Never having even seen an ultrasaber in person, you can imagine how excited I am to receive these sabers. Ok, on to the order:

First up I ordered myself the bellicose with guardian blue, the black blade holder, ultra edge heavy grade blade, li-ion setup, bronze button colour, obsidian sound with blue illuminated switch, short groove version pommel, quick disconnect, and the round tip.

Secondly, I ordered my girlfriend the raven. She picked that one herself (she is a huge star wars fan by the way :) so yay for me), with arctic blue, ultra edge heavy grade blade, li-ion setup, obsidian sound with blue illuminated switch, normal edition claws, ss edition pommel, quick disconnect, and the round tip.

Then I added an MLS unit with blazing red as I can't get the raven without having that colour!

Lastly, I wanted a good duelling saber that would be better for spinning than the others, so I picked up the dominix V2 LE with arctic blue, ultra edge heavy grade, and the round tip.

So did I pick some good sabers for my first order? I sure hope so, it was expensive ;)

Awesome choices and colors. You and your girlfriend will love the sabers. One of my next sabers might actually be a bellicose with a red switch and LED though. =D

Thanks for the reply :) yeah as you can see I kinda love the blue coloured sabers ha. I'm glad I got the blazing red MLS, because then I can change it up and have either the bellicose or raven with the red.

The feeling is mutal. my first ultra sabers were Guardian and Arctic Blue as well. And yeah Quick Disconnect is awesome option. Allow you to be on the Dark or light side of the force hahaha

Yeah, only owning hasbro removable blades I'm really looking forward to seeing the brightness difference as you can't really see properly in pictures or videos on the net, and also the obsidian soundboard. From all accounts I've read it blows them out of the water, which is insane as I think the hasbros are pretty decent!

Good to see someone else shares the love for the colour blue haha. I'm expecting arctic blue to be especially epic!

Ha, I know! Arctic blue on a raven seems crazy! What makes it even more crazy is my girlfriend got home from work and now says she wants violet amethyst on the raven! Talk about crazy raven colours.

So now my question is, to get the extra MLS violet amethyst colour, can I add that to my order even though it now says I can't edit my order? Even if I use the reward points to get the $35 item for free, it costs $50 to ship it to australia by itself :( whereas putting it in that same order will only put the shipping up a touch... Is it too late for me? Do I need to make the new order?

U should try to E-mail them at [email protected] (make sure you put your order# somewhere in the E-mail)  hopefully they will see it in time. When I got ordered my second saber a while back I forgot to get with the li-ion setup so E-mail them and thankfully they saw it and made the change. Note they will charge ur credit card a second time for the adjustment of course.

Adegan Silver is another impressive and unique color that I love.  Then again the only color I currently DON'T own is Fire Orange.  I'll have to rectify that as Nero owns a FO DSI staff and it's most impressive.

Honestly all the colors are amazing!

Very good choices my man.  You really can't go wrong with these colors, but blue is especially glorious - bright and stunning to behold, whether you're looking at the Arctic or Guardian Blue.  My personal favorite is Consular Green, so if you decide to go with another saber I'd recommend that.  The Blazing Red quick disconnect was a great idea too, another very bright color that is just a wonderfully sinister shade of red.

Good hilt choices too!  Bellicose is great, Artorius has one and he LOVES it (as do I).  The Raven might be a little hefty for your girlfriend... not saying she's small or weak, it's just a beast of a weapon from what I've seen.  She will love it though I'm sure!  Plus she can always wield it with two hands.

Can't wait to see your new purchases, feel free to post reviews complete with pics when they come in!

Thanks for the kind words people. Looks like I will eventually no doubt end up with all colours at some point, along with a lot more sabers. Yeah I thought the raven would be big for her, but she insisted on getting it, ha. Like you said though, I'm sure she will love it either way, as will I :)

Don't worry, I will be reviewing them when I receive them, it just may be a while as I'm in Australia. I'm preparing myself for quite a wait, judging by how long some packages have taken to get here from the states lately...

The only bad thing I can say is that you didn't get anything in Sunrider's Destiny. Bang up job on the order, though.

Sorry, just had to post this in my excitement though. Just got an email saying my order has shipped!! So incredibly happy with that, wasn't expecting it to ship so quickly after dragoncon. Thanks a lot guys! Looks to be quick shipping too, estimated to arrive here in Perth, Australia on the 22nd! Not long to wait at all!

Like I said, I'll post reviews if people are interested. That's if I can put them down long enough to do so :p everyone remember back to getting your first ultrasabers...that's me next week :)

I can honestly say I never expected a Raven in any color but Blazing Red or RGB.
A blue or violet Raven seems very interesting since it's such a Sithy hilt.
But who am I to talk? My first Saber's gonna be a BR AEON LE. So I guess mine is the opposite of her saber. XD

Great choices, really. A Raven and Belicose for flash and style, and an Aeon for simple dueling pleasure make a great combo.
I guess the only warning I have to give is that I've looked into Blue LEDs before: they're BLINDING. So this could be either an advantage or a weakness in a duel, depending on if you're the one looking into it or not. XD

Woo, I'm picking up this order in about 15 mins from UPS :) such quick shipping to get to Perth, Australia. Five working days!

Can't wait to crack the box open when I get home and test them out. Although I'm guessing I need an adapter for an Australian plug conversion? I can pick one up tomorrow if need be. So excited! It's time for my first batch of ultrasabers!

Ok, just a quick question. I got them out of the packaging (very pleased with them by the way, I'll review very soon), and started lightly dueling the raven and bellicose. After just two hits the tip of the raven blade came flying off. Is this normal? We weren't hitting them very hard at all. The weird thing is, the raven didn't look like the tip had been glued like the bellicose had. I then put the tip back on and it spins around and isn't secure at all. Does this mean they forgot to glue it or something?

Next thing, what do I do to reattach it? Is there a special type of glue that I use?

It happens from time to time.  I think it varies pretty much, like you said the Raven's blade might not have been as secure as the Bellicose's was.  I personally haven't had this happen from anything except extreme abuse (I hit a tree stump while I was spinning full speed) so clearly you get those outliers.

For glue you can use any kinda superglue type stuff, gorilla glue for instance.  I personally went to my local hardware store, found glue, and specifically picked a superglue that worked with polycarbonate (that's what the blades are made of).

Hopefully I don't mess it up :P Its strange because the raven didn't look like it had any glue on the tip or blade at all. I guess that's better as nothing will get in the way when I glue it myself. Review coming soon! (hopefully by weekend)
