Title: Best way to paint Lightsaber into a metallic color? Post by: ChillyAleman on November 10, 2015, 06:18:39 AM Howdy all. I have a manticore in silver finish and I want to make it look a bit like the Old Republic Saber from SWG in color. However, I was considering going two-toned, doing a copper coat in some sections while taping off other sections to paint bronze later. What would be the best method of placing a metallic color on my lightsaber? My plan was to use testors paint, but I am a bit unsure of what to do.
I figured I would have to get a nylon brush and do the following: 1. Sand aluminum with a fine 200+ grit sandpaper 2. I have NO experience with this sort of thing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Post by: Drahcir on November 10, 2015, 07:49:22 AM Your methodology is pretty sound, I've personally had better durability with enamel based paints than acrylic, but both work.
