Title: Will Bane soundfont work? Post by: B.Tolsma on January 13, 2016, 03:10:48 PM Hi guys!
Just ordered my first 2 sabers, one of which with the V4 soundcard. I've been looking around a bunch for some cool fonts when I came across this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzUwev6V8Tc&ab_channel=DarthXusia1 I was wondering though, would this work in the Obsidian V4? Reason I'm asking is, it's a Soundfont.com font and it costs a bit of money, so I don't feel like wasting the money in case it doesn't work. Thanks!! Title: Re: Will Bane soundfont work? Looks like it just needs to be converted to obsidian parameters in audacity. Shouldnt be to much of a hassle. Title: Re: Will Bane soundfont work? And that's good then, I've seen the tutorials, I'll go buy the font :3 Title: Re: Will Bane soundfont work? Post by: Gorobulus on January 23, 2016, 03:08:16 PM I know right! And that's good then, I've seen the tutorials, I'll go buy the font :3 One thing I suggest is to do a bit of editing on some of the files. The idle hum for instance is 44 seconds long which is a ridiculous amount of memory on the obsidian. I trimmed mine down to about 10 seconds. The motion/swing files also have a lot of hum leadout as part of the file. This makes the swings not as responsive so I trimmed most of the hum on the backend of the files and just left the swing sound itself. Other than that it works fine. Its a big font with multiple powerons and poweroffs, 16 swings and clashes each. blaster lockups, saber lockups etc etc. Have fun. Title: Re: Will Bane soundfont work? What sound board is that supposed to fit on? Title: Re: Will Bane soundfont work? Post by: Sandtracker on January 23, 2016, 05:13:36 PM Gee, that is a lot of memory. What sound board is that supposed to fit on? Most likely a Crystal Focus v7/7.5/8 by Plecter Labs. Title: Re: Will Bane soundfont work? Post by: Quasarlis on August 22, 2016, 01:15:12 PM I used Audacity to adjust some soundfonts bought from Sabefont but I wasn't pleased with the outcome, not ;oud or clear enough. I', just about to try it again using this AWESOME darkside font 'Nightbrother' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG2QmoMPfFs
