Dear Saberforum,

I'm a very happy Prophecy owner!
It's hard to put it down for long... :)

This is a totally enjoyable review.  Well done.  Your description of the small extra emitter hilt hole is cute.  The plastic discs do their job and hopefully you will get some sample gel filter books from Lee, Roscolux or other brands.

You have me convinced that you are indeed a Jedi ( and I also now want another saber soon ).   ;)

+1 for a good review of a stunt Prophecy.  I have always liked AS LED and own two.  Blade looks great with the silver saber.

The wood table is stunning.  Reminds me of our Sun with black spots and solar flares.  Beautiful wood work throughout which gave the Prophecy a richer appearance.

I'm going to check these filters you mentioned, I remember some other reviews have praised them too. Why not have a "manual Emerald" saber if I can :)

Very nice. Makes me want a Prophecy even more. Nothing wrong with a white blade color though =] I find that blade color very underrated much like Sun Rider's Destiny

All the points medwyn!  That is a very well thought out and creative review, excellent.  I really enjoyed watching you wield the Prophecy too that was a lot of fun.  I think the Prophecy with a silver blade is a beautiful choice, congrats!  Your robe and outfit a quite nice as well.

Meanwhile I realized that I forgot to mention one thing in my review (and I haven't seen it in the new Prophecy reviews either) so I put it here now.
It's about how deeply the blade goes into the hilt.

When I placed my order I went for the 32" long blade instead of the standard 36" because I thought the shorter length might be more appropriate in some saber techniques while still ok for the stronger moves too.
I did some measurements on a telescopic broom stick (can't recommend it enough, if you are hesitating :)) and the question mark arose: what is the 'net length' of the 32" blade in a Prophecy? What I did want to avoid is a "too short" blade which is easier to wield but overall gives a look of a bread knife rather than a saber, so I needed reliable sources rather than just guessing.
That's where my thanks goes to Christian (better known as 'Sunnycoastsabers') who did me the favour and measured how much of the blade length is swallowed by the Prophecy hilt.
And the Prophecy seems to be a hungry one: when the blade is properly installed it swallows up 8 cm (3.14") of the total length of the blade! Which nets the user to a blade length of less than 29" in this case.

This may not be a very important information for most of you but for me it was and if an inch or two matters for you too in blade length, you can now avoid the broom-test and some hesitation when you choose your blade for your Prophecy. :)
So I contacted US to modify my order while it was still procesing and get the 36" blade instead.
Another thanks goes to Brandon as well who was very quick to respond and modify the order so finally I got the 36" blade which proves to be a much better choice for my needs than  the 32" I was starting with.

You deserve 3 points. One each for the review, your Jedi clothing, your table.  :)  The silver looks great. I will have to try that on my graflex.  Did you sew your clothing or purchase? What is the material?

Certainly one of the best reviews I've seen in a long time.
You've almost convinced me to try out AS as a blade color at some point, almost.
+1 for your work on this.

I always like to know how deep a blade sits into the emitter as my preference is for 2" or greater.  +1 for bringing this to our attention.   :D

Thank you all!
I wish the table was mine, actually it's in a room where I work and possibly the nicest table I've ever seen :)
The costume is from JR - my wife bought it for me when I placed my order for the sabers (she got a Dark Apprentice v4). It's very comfortable and warm actually, I can go out in minus 5 easily to swing a song without feeling cold :)

Very good review.   :) Welcome to the Prophecy club. The Prophecy is my favorite saber!   ;D If they made an LE model i would buy it for sure!

What a wonderful review! I have a question about the retention screw covers. Do they ever get in the way while fighting or spinning?

Thank you for all the kind words and pictures, I see how the Prophecy has it's boom now among the reviews with a good reason: it's a very stylish hilt and it looks great with any possible colour! :)

I have a question about the retention screw covers. Do they ever get in the way while fighting or spinning?

The brass covers are not at all in the way - the choke point on the front is well placed, holding the saber there makes the hilt comfortable to wield let it be spinning or slashing.
(However I'm already hunting for a suitable allen key to remove the covertec wheel when not in use because it can get in the way when it comes to two-handed wielding. Not a showstopper nor constant but after a stronger session I can tell where it did contact my palm :))

Thanks! I'm leaning towards making the Prophesy V3 my first saber! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
