Title: Question about basic sound
Post by: omegasigma on March 11, 2016, 10:20:57 AM
I've heard and seen a lot of reviews on the obsidian soundboards, I 've seen now there are sabers with basic sound boards and have been wondering, what is the major difference between the basic and V4?

There are presently three types of Obsidian soundboard available from Ultrasabers.

The Obsidian LITE:  Basic.  Sound quality is more or less the same on all boards.  This one has only a single sound font and cannot be changed or adjusted.  Uses AAA batteries.
(Ultrasabers may potentially look into coming up with another version of this with a more Dark Side appropriate sound font, but as of this typing, has not done so.)

Premium Sound (Obsidian v3):  Same sound quality as the LITE.  This one comes with the same single sound font as the LITE, but also a mini-USB port so that the sounds can be changed or replaced.  The setting (volume, sensitivity and the like) can be adjusted.

The Obsidian v4:  Upgrade to Premium Sound.  Should be the same quality of sound as the LITE and v3.  Has more memory than the v3 and comes with 7 sound fonts and a "silent" sound font.  Basically it has a mute feature as ordered.  Also has a mini-USB port to change the sounds and setting.  The larger memory can handle larger sound fonts, and the ability to change between these fonts directly on the lightsaber.  Can hold more than 8 fonts depending on size.  Could also be less if large fonts are used.

Sound is needed for Flash on Clash.
