HAHAHAHAHA!! A point to you medwyn. :) Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: Darth Justicar on April 15, 2016, 03:33:32 PM Hahahaha, who else thinks this should get reward points??? ;) ;D
Well, I'll give you the point that I can give you, anyway! And extra credit for being so danged funny in a second language! Keeping that deadpan delivery and poise would be extra hard for me if I tried it in Spanish. ;) ----- Users should note that this is also great for any kittens you may have in your household. However, full-grown cats may find it a bit small and wish to consider a larger model. ;D Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: Darth Nelo Angelo on April 15, 2016, 05:34:21 PM That's brilliant Medwyn..
The box is truly underrated ;D Point awarded Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: GregG124 on April 15, 2016, 05:58:43 PM I'm in class right now, but I'm posting so I can come back!
Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: Master Medwyn on April 15, 2016, 08:14:46 PM Thanks guys :)
This is how I spent my luch break today for the glory of the box and I don't mind that I had no time to eat :) Users should note that this is also great for any kittens you may have in your household. However, full-grown cats may find it a bit small and wish to consider a larger model. ;D Yes, with an extra hedgehog in it for free! Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: Darth Justicar on April 15, 2016, 11:17:16 PM Yes, with an extra hedgehog in it for free! Just remember that allowing the hedgehog to come into contact with the kitten or cat will void the warranty on the hedgehog and its container alike! Guess I need to purchase multiple sabers on my next order. ;D

"Suitable for cosplaying a forklift driver." lol (Or UPS/Fedex driver or postal worker) I'm really looking forward to seeing that guy cosplaying a FedEx driver who delivers my order possibly in 2 days :) (The package is sitting at the customs since Friday - those guys are either don't work on the weekends or enjoy playing around with my Dominix and Aeon v4 :D) Very cute. +1 :D I recently received a Toblerone and was quite disappointed as was wanting another of those fantastic multi-use brown boxes. Guess I need to purchase multiple sabers on my next order. ;D Oh, Toblerone - even in a Bacta tank I could not cure one of my friends out of the chocolate poisoning he got from Toblerone. Funny enough, he refers to the box as "lightsaber" and swings it around happily all the time :D Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: Zren Tobas on April 17, 2016, 03:04:35 PM My new saber stuff came in a UPS box after all the other day so that wouldn't really count for me :P Next to do is your Prophecy if you haven't already unless I missed it like always :P

Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: GregG124 on April 21, 2016, 10:06:22 PM My boxes recently became too damaged from spinning and dueling so I had to recycle them. One of these days I'll get more boxes (and sabers but so what)

I am so waiting for it to get dark out. Want to take full advantage of my special US box and test out if perhaps you two are embellishing the features just a tad. I hope not. ;) Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: Darth Acervus on October 13, 2016, 08:24:04 PM I have just been pointed in the direction of this review. Im so sorry I missed it at the time.
This is without doubt the best review I have ever seen. medwyn's review should be held up as a lesson in how to do a review in the correct manner. I feel I must just add a technical update to this otherwise perfect review of the 46" x 4"x 4" Box. I can only assume that box related technology has moved on in the 6 months since the review went live. Evidenced by my unboxing today via the emmiter end. The internal components were very tightly packed.Weighing in at over 4 kg's it seemed improbable that all the internals of the box could indeed be present. But yes they were all there using a combination of small bubble type material & clear sticking tape were 4 .yes Four full size lightsabers(one of which sported a whopping 40" blade) plus another full size 36" extra blade, a coupler, a vc2plus charger & a blade plug.. Amazing Box technology, that should be applauded. After all that the box is still in full functioning box order. Thanks to medwyn again for the original Video review. Just have to ask, is your box the V3 or the V4? I received mine Wednesday (with the optional Shock sabre), and I noticed that mine had more shipping labels than yours - maybe it's a new model! Oooh... your box looks so pristine and then all those designer labels for the extra bling. :o Jeez ... a RGB and master switch with an emitter window ! Definitely this year's upgraded model... lucky you !!!! 8) ::) Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: Darth Acervus on October 15, 2016, 12:38:50 PM Great review Medwyn, very informative, +1 LS point! Now I am rather confused. Was you box a grabbag? or did you order it with the extra labels? I'm going to go out on a limb here & suggest that what you have could be a rare v5 box with single saber removable insert. You can see that my box (http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff432/TEHordak/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC03502.jpg) (http://s1235.photobucket.com/user/TEHordak/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC03502.jpg.html) Only has a 2 label setup. Similar to medwyn's but with a yellow/gold accented label around the middle of the box in addition to the seemingly standard emmiter label. Not sure where I stand on box tech now! Oh & another picture of my box(labels front) (http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff432/TEHordak/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC03503.jpg) (http://s1235.photobucket.com/user/TEHordak/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC03503.jpg.html) Note the optional wife in dressing gown ducking her head(top right spotty.Gown that is not wife) who I would have cropped from picture had she not screamed at me to do just that. Food for thought indeed.I notice that the faded brown colour does seem standard throughout the range though. Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: Rapine on October 15, 2016, 01:12:10 PM My latest order arrived holding two sabers inside (Prophecy & Aeon), amongst other things, and seems to be of a still different configuration.
Notice the label on the side of the hilt, rather than in-line with the rest of the labels. I wonder if that's because of the weight of the internals, the nature of the internals, or because it had to come to Hoth. Title: Re: --- A misguided out-of-the-box review Post by: Master Medwyn on October 16, 2016, 08:51:53 PM LOL, I do a trip to the Kessel and when I pop back I see all these new v3 and v4 boxes with beautiful labels and fresh on cash! :D
Lord Rapine, you're a real blast giving your true name to deliver the artifact to! However I don't see why you erased "Korriban" and your catacomb number with the black marker - it's not a shame, believe me! :D What a topic necromancy! :) |
