Title: archon v3.1 Post by: eladlala on May 09, 2016, 05:31:18 PM So im finally order the lightsaber im really want at the beginning and what can i say my first impression was woooo Thats beautiful saber and my second impression was wooo that's heavy. And my first ever saber was the bellicose ( stunt setup) which back than i thought "that a huge lightsaber " but the archon is smaller but heavier I've already heve an graflex clamp on the way to make it more screen like and im starting building an activation box to make it more rotj.. about dueling its not to comfortable and the blade is not sit in the amitar perfectly like in my bellicose but i was aware of that because of the thin neck in the feture i will order a shock pummel and shock amitar.
But overall its a really amazing saber best looking one easily and this saber i ordered with v4 sound and tri cree ( recommended) (http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y350/eladlala123/Mobile%20Uploads/20160509_194206_zps4tovp1ls.jpg) (http://s1028.photobucket.com/user/eladlala123/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20160509_194206_zps4tovp1ls.jpg.html)(http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y350/eladlala123/Mobile%20Uploads/20160509_194240_zpsfmruybru.jpg) (http://s1028.photobucket.com/user/eladlala123/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20160509_194240_zpsfmruybru.jpg.html)(http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y350/eladlala123/Mobile%20Uploads/20160509_193823_zpsts3pgocl.jpg) (http://s1028.photobucket.com/user/eladlala123/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20160509_193823_zpsts3pgocl.jpg.html) Title: Re: archon v3.1 Post by: CyberKyber on May 09, 2016, 05:43:31 PM Nice review! I've always heard about the thin neck being a bit of a pain, but it does look awesome, great for display! Have you considered getting an arbiter emitter or an archon v2.1 emitter? They still have that luke ROTJ/Obi wan look, so they could be nice for dueling.
Also as a side note, wow, the bellicose sure is huge! I never thought it was that big and long (jokes aside XD), even next to the archon. +1! Title: Re: archon v3.1 Post by: eladlala on May 09, 2016, 06:02:55 PM Still the bellicose is really nice i really recommend that saber .. the archon its a beauti
Title: Re: archon v3.1 Post by: scifidude79 on May 09, 2016, 08:41:46 PM It looks sweet. One of the best saber designs ever. I hope you'll post pics when you get it modified to be more accurate to ROTJ.

You will not regret +the archon is very customizable the only thing that might bugs you about that saber that its heavy Title: Re: archon v3.1 Post by: azn86.jedi on May 10, 2016, 05:34:40 AM Looks really classy! As the consular does not want to come back in stock not even for the love of the Force, I may modify my order and get this beauty! I'm still waiting for my FO Emerald Consular that I ordered back in March T___TYou will not regret +the archon is very customizable the only thing that might bugs you about that saber that its heavy Agreed on the customisability but I have to disagree on the weight. My Emerald Guardian with a 36" heavy grade blade weighs in at 1015grams, whereas my Emerald Archon v2.1 with the same length heavy grade blade weighs in at 824grams. The total length on my Emerald Guardian is roughly 47" compared to the Archon at 45". I'm guessing with the v3 emitter the blade doesn't sit as far into the hilt as the v2.1 emitter allows. The 2 inch difference between both my Emerald sabers plus the fact you can hold the Archon 2.1 very close to the emitter makes it feel more balanced, thus the perception of it being weighty drops. I can still feel the weight of the saber, but it doesn't concern me as much as my Guardian. I guess at the end of the day it's all relative ^^ Good reference point for me as I intend to get the Bellicose eventually. Good seeing it next to the Archon. Im hope that ultrasabers will find a way to balance this saber and secured the blade even more ( archon v3.2 )Agreed on the customisability but I have to disagree on the weight. Title: Re: archon v3.1 Post by: jhazard on May 19, 2016, 05:24:07 PM Great review, glad you compared it with the Bellicose - that's the next saber I want to get. Surprised how large the Bellicose is compared to the Archon. Also like the pommel with the black accents (I got the all silver one on my Archon).
Not sure I'll duel with my Archon, unless I get a different emitter. Spin-wise, it seems fairly comfy though. Title: Re: archon v3.1 Post by: Bulvoy on May 20, 2016, 01:41:47 PM Nice, look forward to seeing your project unfold
