Title: Fun With MHS! Post by: GregG124 on May 10, 2016, 03:27:55 AM So as a lot of you know, I have a Liberator, an Arbiter, and an Archon V2.1. Along with a spare Arbiter Emitter and Neck Piece (Grenade grip). Today, I had some fun with the MHS system.
Firstly, here's a look at ALL my parts (dissasembled as much as possible without cutting wires): (http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr183/gregg124/IMG_3011_zpsatpivus3.jpg) (http://s482.photobucket.com/user/gregg124/media/IMG_3011_zpsatpivus3.jpg.html) I decided to first, put the Arbiter's pommel (the one with the D-Ring) and add it to the Archon along with an Arbiter Emitter (no neck) it made for a short saber that would be great for one handed combat! (http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr183/gregg124/IMG_3012_zps5cjiilrk.jpg) (http://s482.photobucket.com/user/gregg124/media/IMG_3012_zps5cjiilrk.jpg.html) Next, I decided to take the pommel, neck, and emitter of the Archon V2.1 and add it to the body and grenade grip of the arbiter whilst lining the lower grip with O-Rings for more of the Black and Silver contrast: (http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr183/gregg124/IMG_3009_zpsjbvvhpjg.jpg) (http://s482.photobucket.com/user/gregg124/media/IMG_3009_zpsjbvvhpjg.jpg.html) PROS AND CONS: The pros is that both combos look amazing! They have a lot of stylistic appeal and I enjoyed looking at them. The cons is that nothing fits quite right besides the pommels. The Archon v2.1 neck threads stick out just a bit from the neck of the Arbiter with the black piece resting on the MLS unit. I figured that it wouldn't be wise to leave it configured like that with the stress on the LED. On the Archon Body, the threads on the Arbiter emitter are a bit shorter than that of the black neck piece, therefore, there was a little bit of space left open between the emitter and the LED. Obviously a blade would fix that so it's not a big deal. Also, O-Rings are simply not secure on the lower half of the Arbiter body unless I got 4 at a time and lined them up inside the wider grooves. Anyway, I love the MHS system and I loved coming up with these combinations. Let me know what you think! Title: Re: Fun With MHS! Post by: Calculon on May 11, 2016, 12:32:26 AM Love this as well. With a few parts I got from TCSS and the ones from US, my 3yo can mash up her saber in a bunch of fun and cool (and uncool as well as unwieldy) ways. Nice mash up! I'll try and post something when I can.

My stunt saber is what ever is laying around for my catalyst main body. Post by: GregG124 on May 12, 2016, 11:41:30 PM I love it Calculon!
Is kid's saber a modded Arbiter? I quite like that. Title: Re: Fun With MHS! Post by: Calculon on May 12, 2016, 11:50:58 PM Thank you Greg, excellent post! Right down my alley.
The Arbiter has not had any extra machining done. I just added a switch, rewired some stuff, rgb led, JSTs, the rings and the choke. Really want the Flamberge CE blade holder but... $$$. I think with the right choke and that blade holder... amazing stuff could be done. |
