It is possible..I found this on Nerdist.com website. (http://nerdist.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Saber1.gif) This guy is called FloWarrior and has worked out a Sith Saber Throw system. He was at Edmonton Comic Con. He is on Facebook if you can access it. He may be able to give advice. I have also seen suggestions of using fishing line attached to a spring loaded cable retraction reel. Mount the retractable cable reel on your back (or back of your belt) and run the line down your arm and attach to your saber. You would need to experiment with line strength and spring settings but may be a way to go. EDIT: I just managed to get on FB and found out this is the guy from the Behind the Scenes video (sorry) and the Levisticks are also known as Flow Wands. Title: Re: Jedi vs Sith Lightsaber training Post by: Darth Cephalus on October 02, 2016, 03:46:17 AM I can actually help with this one. I saw that con footage a year or so ago and got in touch with Flowarrior. He wouldn't tell me how he did it but with some directed questions, I was able to figure it out. I have actually constructed my own setup and have been trying to reproduce this for a while now. Finding practice space is the hardest part. The theory is the same as the flow wand which is actually based on an old stage magicians trick called the levitating cane. You can find video of a very famous David Copperfield routine using this trick from a couple decades back on Youtube. If you adjust where the string attaches relative to the point of balance, you get a spin rather than a levitation. You don't need a reel, you just need a good anchor spot. Flow wand people have two schools, long cord and short cord. I think Flowarrior uses long cord but I don't know for sure. Long cord is what I have been trying. The way I am doing it, the cord anchors on my right shoulder, wraps around my body to the left, and comes back to my right hand. Again, I don't have it down yet. Practice space is the real limiting factor. Flowarrior also mentioned to me that he was planning on having a kickstarter for his flow leash system at some point in the future. There is a link on his web page to be notified.
The other guy is doing contact moves. Most of those I know and can do with a staff. Not sure what is using for the dual wield bits, but I can tell you it is not an Ultrasaber. The balance it takes to do that roll down the arm, is not something you can get in an Ultrasaber that size.
