So its not until Saturday for me but I got my first real troop so. I'll probably use my Overlord saber. What pictures do you guys have to share? =] Anyone can share so. Thought this would be a cool fun new gallery to start up

Like I said anyone can post recent troops as well :) I'm kinda nervous though since its my first ever troop. 501st will be there too :P

Oh I was only able to get the one picture with Darth Vader so, but I posted it in the main picture posting gallery =] Its like if you go to events and stuff which I'll be doing more often

"Trooping" in this sense, means attending an event in your "official" garb.  As a group, or squad. :)

Think stormtroopers. :)

I think (but I'm not sure) that the OP means going to an event as a member of the 501st Legion or Rebel Legion.  (At least, that's the only context I use that word in.)

I joined the 501st with my Count Dooku (AOTC) costume, and I used a Dark Mantis at troops.  (I took two of the emitter claws off and threw in a hair tie into the emitter's threading such that it'd lock in the place.)  Not very screen accurate, but basically nobody but myself cared (it helps that Darth Tyrannus is now a minor, novelty character.)

I recently joined the Rebel Legion, so lately, I'm going to events as a generic Jedi, where I've typically taken my Overlord stunt staff.  This'll change once my new v3 Initiate with Obsidian v4 staff arrives.  (With a GB saber I won in the raffle, too!  :)  )

I'll go ahead and re-post. Stuff like this can even work doesn't have to be big major troops. This was like the 2nd weekend we got here I think. My first real Star Wars event. Were actually all looking to going to see Rogue One together next month probably in costume too. I'll be having a photoshoot with Aeon Cruze here soon so that should be fun =]

Sure, if you already know what the Legions are.  In my limited experience, people are constantly hearing of us for the first time at events we attend, so "attending an event in your 'official' garb" doesn't give them any additional context.

Alright - I get that.

I was staying general though, since I wasn't really defining whether or not it was the 501st, or Rebel legions.  Any squad or group, in any official garb - that was the gist of it anyway.

Gray Legionary seemed to get it too, so I didn't think any further explanation was needed. 

You are quite correct though, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with being thorough.
