Hey, folks... here are my 2nd and 3rd raffle entries:  the Fulcrum and the Lost Gray. I won with my 1st raffle entry, the Bellicose RGBA Emerald, which will be shipped as soon as I can decide which sabers I want for the grand prize I won. Heavy thinking on that today  ::)

the dark SI and a sentinel stunts were my entries...been wanting the dark SI for a bit, was out of stock when I had the funds before.

I had that issue too.  Then it was back, but only the lined version, and I prefer unlined.  Now both versions are back.  :)

^^^True that. I love mine even though the silver one only comes without the grooves but still, its a way nice saber :P I highly suggest one. Standard Issue is a great dueler too

1:41PM... I received my Manticore in SRD along with a Dominix V4 in GB. Unboxing and me looking like a fool recording my first video coming soon.

Mine shipment of sabers, at least I think there is two being one of the winners, should be dilivered tomorrow. I'm supper stoked about it. Can't hardly wait to see what I won.

I received a shipment notification for my Autumn Raffle winning order, the Bellicose Emerald RGBA, and the grand prize sabers with it - woohoo!  They'll be here the day after Thanksgiving, so I'm definitely looking forward to staying in, avoiding the crowds (won't miss the shopping one bit) and doing a video review on them and posting pics then - yay! ;D I'll be doing a review on the Bellicose Emerald RGBA, Guardian Nickel Plated in DVA/FoC BH and Manticore CE Nickel Plated in BH/FoC Silver, so yeah, could be a longer video than my Fulcrum/Lost Gray video. Woot woot!  Can't wait.  I hope to be able to do a review of the raffle entry that I ordered on the last day of the raffle, the Archon 2.1 on a Flash Sale, which arrives either tomorrow or Wednesday, 11/22 or 11/23. Wednesday could be a little hectic, but I'll give it a shot, because I'd love to share an unboxing and review of that, too!

Speaking of the Fulcrum and the Lost Gray, my 2nd and 3rd raffle entry - I received my 30 inch photon blade to go with my Lost Gray with TRI GB, and now I have an Ahsoka Tano look, other than the fact that I don't look anything like her, but these sabers now look "canon".  The blue light from the TRI GB sort of ignites the dye in the photon blade to "electrify" the green to an eerie lime/yellow-green blade color. I love BOTH of these new sabers immensely, but the Lost Gray really shines here:

Here's a quick video and some pics, and as always, keep in mind the camera hates to reproduce colors accurately some times, so take my word on it - the Lost Gray IS more of a yellow/lime-green than a pure green like the Consular Green.  It looks jaw-droppingly cool.

Great idea Lord Bladewraith for using a Photon Blade with the Lost Grey Saber.

I am still tossing up what blade color to get with this saber. I am not sure if I get the saber in Consular Green and then adding a orange color disc to produce the lime green color. I am also thinking of using Sunriders Destiny for the blade colour and adding a yellow or orange color disc to give it a lime green color.

I was going to mention the idea of using a Photon Blade, but I wasn't sure if that fell into the "Other Guys" bucket of things not to post or not, since it's a third-party product.

Good to err on the side of caution though Old Bean Kenobi. :)

Those do get mentioned quite a bit though.  I think anything that's available from a parts supplier (like TCSS) is ok, but never mention other saber shops.  My understanding at least.

The Manticore looks awesome in SRD, I absolutely love it.  Nice raffle prize too, the Dominix looks good in GB.

I agree! Fantastic choice on SRD! I have that with QD on my 4th raffle entry, the Archon 2.1, and my raffle prize is a Manticore CE in BH with QD, so now after seeing your pics, excellent btw, I really look forward to swapping out colors and putting the SRD on my Manticore.  Looks ethereal! Love it.

+1 and congrats, too, on the Dominix V4! I love mine with BR, but I am really liking the GB with it.  That hilt has such a nice grip for both one and two handed dueling.  

I never really liked the Dominix as a hilt. It's the full on black look that turns me off a bit. But I have to admit seeing it in GB and in person it really has a certain allure to it. May still do some painting on it or add windows to the emitter or something. But maybe not.


Thanks, LB. I actually did get it with QD, thinking I could swap out the LED with the other one I'm working on from parts. Got a Tri CG for it with QD, but the LED module is different. The manticores has this lip on it and the other one doesn't.

There's two QD modules available - the one with the lip and the smaller one with no lip.  

The module with the lip is for MHS hilts with removable emitters - in the store it's called an MLS unit.

The one with no lip is for one piece hilts like the Prophecy, Dominix V4 ect that have a slightly narrower neck because there are no threads cut into it - in the store it's called an LED module.

The outer shells are interchangeable so you can use them in either hilt type (MHS/non-MHS) but I'm not sure if this would void any warranty on new parts you've purchased if you swap around the internals.

Good to know, that means the one with no lip is the right one that I got earlier for my project. Installing into a blank Aeon V4 hilt. Also interesting that the outer shells are interchangeable. I might try that at some point.

Great score there. :)  The Dominix is a great hilt - very customisable. ;)

The Manticore is amazing.  That emitter is one of US's very best IMO, and is absolutely gorgeous. 

It was my first saber. :)

The rule is it's generally ok to mention TCSS when it's being discussed as a means to enhance or customize your ultrasaber.
If you're discussing it as a supplier for a scratch build or something that no longer involves US products then it's a no go - so things like competitor soundboards are completely off limits.

My two entries (RGBA Emerald Lost Gray with V4 sound and bronze buttons, RGBA Emerald Fulcrum with V4 sound and bronze buttons), and my first place prize, an RGBW (W based on the FoC, I haven't checked it other than that, yet) Emerald Scorpion, no claw, V3 sound.  The Scorpion is a near identical twin of the Emerald Scorpion I already had (the prize is V3 sound to my other one's V4, RGBW to the other RGBA, and the prize doesn't have a recharge port), so I can couple them together into one ridiculous monster of a staff!

Sabers ignited, I had them send the Fulcrum in Emerald Green, the Lost Gray in Sentinel Yellow, and the prize arrived slowly pulsing between GB and BR.  These pictures are after I edged the EG closer to CG (just a hint of blue remaining), rejigged the SY to a quite yellowish green (on its own, it's nicely between the two colors, but seen directly next to the Fulcrum, it looks so yellow), and set the Scorpion to an Arctic Blue.

My purchase for the entry in the raffle was the Manticore in BR with orange FOC.  I got a red AV switch and V4 sound. I was one of the first place prize winners.
My prize was a Monarch.  I would have never purchase a Monarch, but now that I have it in hand it's awesome. I love it way more than I thought I would.
It came with the Emerald driver and V4 sound. Also a silver AV switch. I did the math that's about $430 prize. Wow! That's a nice prize.  Thank you US! You guys are awesome.

When I got the box - there was a bulge in the side from a Claw and I thought, yep - it's a Scorpion.

It was a true surprise when that came sliding out with the Fulcrum.

I actually took the pommel off and put a low profile one on it.  Makes it look and feel a lot more Dooku-esque.

All of these are looking fantastic.  Im so jealous that my sabers still haven't arrived yet.  Customs takes forever to go through things.  I can just imagine the freak out when they X-ray the box and see all these metal tubes with wires running through them...Hope my sabers don't get blown up

My raffle entries were 2x v3 Initiate, arctic blue, v4 sound, with an adjustable sound coupler.  With custom blades I had ordered before, the staff is 5'11", of which the staff is 21" and each blade is 25", which is perfect according to my staff aesthetic preference (http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=32415.msg492503#msg492503).  (I am 5'9" or 5'10", depending if I'm standing up straight or not.  :)  )

My raffle win is a Dominix LE v4 w/li-ion setup, also in arctic blue.

Thanks, Ultrasabers!  It's pretty neat to have the big sibling of the Initiates.  I've always been a bit curious about the Aeon/Dominix and Sentinel models, but my win-the-lottery plans have not yet come to fruition, so I hadn't gotten around to ordering one of them.  :)

When I opened the end of the box that had my Fulcrum and prize, the first thing I saw was the pommel, with the familiar spikes ringing it.  Right away, I knew what it was, since the only other one I could think of with the pointed spikes is the Mantis, and it wouldn't have been pointed straight up like that.

I do need to order another adjustable coupler, though, for Supersized Scorpion Staff Shenanigans.

Sweet win!  A Dominix is always a great prize, and the LE with that arctic blue blade looks awesome.  The Li-Ion setup is great for the mixed color.

Fixed that for you ;) Can't remember if I mentioned in here or not, but I got mine through yesterday - Lost Gray order, and Apprentice prize. I've totally fallen for the Apprentice, even more so than the Sentinels, I think :o Hopefully get some pics up in the next few days.

The Apprentice has been on my radar for some time now, since I love the Sentinel.

I ordered a Scorpion in TRI Green for myself and an Initiate LE v4 in Violet Amethyst for my girlfriend (originally for her birthday but re-purposed for Christmas). My raffle prize was a Dark Liberator v3 in Guardian Blue. All sabers are Obsidian. Can't wait to see her face when she unwraps it :D Thanks again to Emory and Ultrasabers!

I feel the same I keep going back and forth with the Sentinel/Apprentice and I'd pick the Dark Apprentice LE with windows too - my daughters reg Apprentice is just simple and pretty. 8)

. . . and put on a high-polish, domed, stainless steel switch.  It perfectly compliments the shroud and engraved designs.  In particular, I think the rounded actuator is PERFECT for where it sits close to the bend on this curved hilt.

I kept the black AV switch bezel because I think it looks more natural to have the part that rests on the hilt be the same color as the metal it sits on, regardless of the switch color.

Finally, I felt it was important to include this size comparison.

When we found the pics of the Curved Reaper on the Facebook page in the Convention photos, a lot of people thought it looked too big and wouldn't want it based on that.

Those angles can be deceiving!  :)

Well, if you have ever owned or seen any variant of the US Menace, you know it's one of the smallest hilts they make and is an excellent one-hander.

Really don't know where to start about how psyched I am I got this!  Might even end up Reviewing this before my Fulcrum!

That's actually something I have played around with.

The settings I've settled on so far have a couple of variants.

R at 0%, G at 100%, B at 83-84%

OR for a slightly more green Turquoise...

R-0%, G-100%, B-14.9%

The other setting that I have tried for turquoise
R-0%, G-100%, B-29%

I REALLY like the silver bezel with the Black AV switch on the Lost Gray . . . it matches the details of the black buttons . . . I know Lord C has mentioned the domed top switches, I think that could work really well with a silver bezel too . . . AND, even perhaps matching a GOLD domed switch, silver bezel, and gold buttons on a Lost Gray would look stunning . . . I've added a few close up pics of this new wider bezel US has developed for the Lost Gray, I'm a sucker for subtle design details, and really impressed how it matches the angles of the switch perfectly, and I'm thinking this bezel would look awesome on many other hilts too . . .

Lastly . . . some notes on the Quick Release Coupler . . .

I've mentioned this before . . . some people have not liked the way it can spin around when connected, and I had thought an o-ring the right size sitting at the base of the male part might stop that somewhat . . . I only had a few o-ring to test, but the thinner one in the pics below, when set in the right spot put a slight amount of "grip" between the 2 parts when connected to STOP any spin and make it fell more solid . . . The o-ring i had was around 1/2" dia I think, and I'd suggest a slightly larger diameter, but with a similar ring thickness . . . I'd encourage others to test this also and give their opinions, and I'd even suggest that US test this also and supply a few o-rings with every Quick Release Coupler sold so people could use them or not . . .

EDIT : The o-ring thickness needs to be quite thin . . . if it's too thick, the ballbearings don't latch fully and there could be a chance of inadvertent separation, lol . . . When I get a chance I'll get hold of a few more sizes and do some more tests . . .

Loved the No window look for both of these models.  Already have the Initiate v4 and tended to grab the windowed area when spinning.  Felt a bit odd that I was grabbing the open emitter portion of the hilt where it would be jettisoning the blade heat?  But of course, this is totally personal preference.

The Dominix LE v4 has a great balanced feel to it as many have pointed out.  I don't think I would have ever picked the hilt normally but after receiving the hilt, it was a very pleasant surprise!  I'll be changing the blade to a HG (will try both a 32" and 36" blades) and add an extra Scorpion Hilt.

Beautiful pair of sabers. They look almost as if it was on purpose to be a daito. Point for sharing!

It's really cool that the Dominix LE they sent you is a match for the Dark Initiate LE you ordered, Lord Faust.  If you wanted to, you have a main hand and an offhand weapon.  :)

I agree with you about the no windows for that hilt design.  The emitter makes a nice choke point, if you don't have windows.

I hadn't realized, until I saw the two together like that, that the Dominix V4 is to the Initiate V4 as the Sentinel V4 is to the Apprentice V4.  Very neat.

I like that you added the O-rings to the Quick Release Coupler and having it pair with the Archon 2.1. I had to use O-rings on the flush vented coupler to straighten up my twin Dark Arbitter sabers so the AV switches would line up together.

I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised by the Aeon. I've never been especially attracted to the US original hilt designs, BUT...  As someone who got hooked on swords and sword culture via my childhood lightsaber fetish, I've spent a good part of the past decade collecting katanas and practicing the Japanese sword art Iaido. And while I've continued to collect movie accurate saber props, I've also scoffed at how uncomfortable and impractical the classic hilt designs are. So when I powered up the Aeon and put it through its paces, I was knocked out by how balanced, ergonomic, and right it feels. It truly is an elegant and (if it were real) practical saber. But you guys already know that  :)

That pommel really suits the Scorpion.  :)

Well, shoot.

Still, yeah, the Lost Gray pommel lines up perfectly with the Scorpion's hilt shroud, and the line of silver right before the end of the Scorpion hilt gives it a nice visual cohesion.
