As some of you may know I recently burnout the LED in my Fire Orange Liberator.

After some deciding I chose to retire it to the mantle.

So one more time here he his,

A lot of thought went into how I could wrap the Bellicose like the Liberator since they're quite different.

You may also notice I chose to put the Bane pommel on my Bellicose.

Cool customization.  Good to see you have a replacement finally, though I hope you're keeping the original hilt (maybe you could put new electronics in one day?)

Is that the Pyrestone MLS unit you have in the Bellicose?

I am keeping it, I will get a stand for it so it can sit above me on my desk.

One day hopefully I could get it repaired. If I didn't spend all my money on new sabers I probably could have sent it in.

Get like 4 yards of it.

That should be enough to wrap, maybe two sabers depending on how you choose to do it.

In the spots where I glues it I took the very tip of and exacto and scored the spot the applied the glue. Then hold it.

I like to use E6000 and good Nail Glue.

It's usually with a wall of different laces, and ropes and such.

do they have it in any different colors? kinda want it in tan or lighter brown

They do carry thinner brown strap,

As well as different kinds of rope and laces.

The rope on my initiates was white, then I tea stained it and coffee stained for a few hours and hung up to dry.

i have an idea for my bellicose wrap, but i would need a wrap that is 1 inch wide and thin.  i would wrap it on the lower part and have the straps hanging off like yours.

You should be able to find something there. ;D

If not at Jo-Ann's than try Michael or another craft store in your area.

i looked around michaels  to no avail.  still gotta try jo-anns, and tandy-leather has a store here in vegas.

You could also try just buy a sheet of thin leather and cut it into the strips you want.

@Kham. So you're saying a new Liberator is possibly on the way?? :D If so then I hope a Dark Liberator V2-3? Will be out as well. I will also be all over the saber. xp

But sadly I don't, But with the way they have been revamping the Dominix/Aeon and the SI's. I don't see any reason why it wouldnt be a possibility.

It's a possibility, like Kham said the V3 line they've been making hints at it.  If one comes out I'll have to get it as well, always wanted a Liberator :)

that is also an option.  the lacing would make it pretty nice and tight.

if i had to say though, i think the highest possiblity of getting an upgrade is the prophecy.  dont quote me though

@ImpKnight - Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with another Prophecy before anything else. They seem to be one of the most popular hilts. But maybe they'll release something new for the holiday.

That sucks the LED burnt out on your saber. Now it makes me think I should add in the quick disconnect option on my next saber purchase for a quick repair purpose.  Great looking bellicose by the way. I'm thinking on maybe getting it myself

If you plan on only really having one saber you use get the QD.

The burn out was totally my fault but I am sure that If I had a QD in there I could jsut swap'em out and be good to go.

How was burning out your LED your fault? What happened?

The Trustfire Li-Ion batteries from US put out double the volts of normal household Alkalines.

My Lib took 2 AA's so I thought it would work. I popped'em in and turned it on, it flickered then never turned on again.

My WARNING to all who get curious. My saber was not setup for that amount of power.

Oh so putting in the wrong batteries spelled doom for your saber? So stick with ultrasabers battery that they use? Other than that are the LED"s pretty rugged for long saber life?

They're pretty rugged if you use the right power source.  The problem with Kham's saber was that he put a different type of battery in, providing more than double the configured voltage.  Too much or too little voltage isn't good for the saber, so you should use whatever type of battery the saber is setup for.

This means regular battery packs should use alkalines or NiMH, while Li-ion setups should only use the li-ion cells provided by Ultrasabers.

Cool. Well I guess I know what will be on my next order now. ;p

sometimes i psych myself out cause the 3.7 Li-ions x2 seems like a lot and may burn out the damn LED.  but i gotta remember its set up for that and they put in enough resistance to the voltage for it to be bright and stay bright but not burn out.
