So I wanted to make a small wall-mounted saber stand that would be a nice display piece in its own rite. I started by cutting out the symbol of the rebellion, then rough cut a round background piece. I drilled holes in to it for dowels to be fit. These dowels would hold the sabers, as well as solidify the stand.

Next, I dry fitted the pieces and made sure things worked well.

I then painted the pieces and wrapped the dowels- the four on the bottom with leather and the top two with suede cord.

Then, I assembled the pieces.

Thanks, everyone! I originally wanted to stain the wood, but after I did, the grain just didn’t look very good. I think if I do another, I’ll use a nicer wood and get that really natural look, maybe use Jedi Order logo for the top piece, too.

Looks great, and really matches the color and textures of your sabers. Point for you.

Sooooo, I took my initial idea and ran with it, crafting a single mount saber stand for the wall, complete with the Jedi Order symbol, a leather wrapped holder, and a leather bumper for the bottom of the hilt. Hope you all dig it!

Thanks, man! I think once I get the prototype perfect, I might start selling them on Etsy or something :) I figure there might be a market.

A lot of other saber stuff on Etsy so why not. Contact US they may let you sell them here as well.
