There are other threads such as You & Your Saber and Your Saber... also you can start your own thread if you want to have a more extensive conversation.

However... the top winners are expected to go into great details regarding their choices and how they decided upon the saber specifics.  ;D

Nice sabers you got there, Critias!  I have to say that the Spectre in AS is beautiful and classy.  I like your Initiate, it looks great with that quick disconnect coupler.  How do you like the Apprentice?  Point.

I've already had fun swapping pommels around and seeing which ones I like where.  Right now I've settled (however temporarily) on putting the Spectre's pommel on the Initiate (the balance with that extra weight at the back-end is AMAZING, the thing feels alive when you swing it), and then I've got the Quick-Release set up on the Spectre and Dominix (with the larger female piece on the Spectre for balance and matching the heftier size of the grip, and the sharp-looking male piece actually looks kind of sinister protruding from the Dominix).

The Quick-Release is really cool.  There's just a little bit of wiggle when the sabers are together, but that's to be expected, and there's a really amazing feeling of sudden freedom/lightness/liberation when you uncouple them and start swinging.  My apartment is very much not large enough I can try any twirling at all (with the sabers connected and my regular-length blades I had MAYBE an inch of 'play' from floor to ceiling), but even without the blades on, it's just a really cool sensation to be swinging the conjoined hilts around like a short staff and then to suddenly break them apart into a pair of foot-long aluminum clubs. 

So, yeah.  Super satisfied with my purchase(s), and really psyched by my Raffle win and extra goodies. 

Extra props to Ultra Sabers for letting me add the Quick-Release after the Raffle win;  once I knew I had an extra saber coming I (a) knew I'd want to toss them a little extra business to say thank you, and (b) knew I'd have THREE sabers to play with, so I'd find some hilts where the QRC would be a nice fit.  They were awesome enough to let me add it to my order after-the-fact and still get the free shipping, etc, which was really nice of them.

I'm a sucker for the Adegan Silver, yeah.  I dabbled with an orange and yellow disk, and it DOES come out a really pretty golden shade, and with just a single light-blue disk in the white gets a nice silvery sheen...but, man, there's just something really crisp about the pure white, with the monochromatic black/silver hilt.  I'm gonna have to get the rest of my cosplay together and see which way it really pops, I think.  I knew going into this that the Spectre would be my baby, and the other two would just be nice extras, and I couldn't be happier with it.  The size, the weight, the balance of it, the ports...I'm in love.

The other two have been really cool, too, don't get me wrong!  My wife likes them because they're far more slender to grip than the Spectre (which is sized much more for my hands than hers, she's got teeny little arms).  I can't get over the amazing balance of the Initiate when it's got a mid-grade blade and that chunky Spectre pommel on there.  It's really fantastic.

That's a great looking group of sabers. :)

Nice pull, the Dominix and Sentinel are 2 of my favorite dueling/spinning sabers. The Spectre is in its trial month for me I can't seem to get used to the cheese grater shroud on my hands. The emitter and pommel and overall look are awesome though.

Good to hear, I have a saber with AS coming in soon and can’t wait to see it’s pure white along with playing around with Lee and Rosco filters.  I didn’t opt for the disks due to me wanting the filters more.  I have two initiates that I plan on turning into a staff and they’re polar opposites with one being sicker and one being black. My silver one is the one that I spin with and I love it. It’s easy to handle and well balanced. Have a point

This is my everything unboxed, all stunt, but awesome nevertheless! The V4 Apprentice on the left is my raffle win (yay!) which got immediately confiscated by my girlfriend who loves it, next to it the LE Sentinel is from first Mystery box, the two V3 Dark Iniates are to complement my two which I already own, one green and one red, so I get a red staff and blue/green dual wield, and the yellow V3 Dominix is second Mystery. Only shame is that that the colors aren't switched between the Dominix and Sentinel, I'd love the gold accented hilt to be yellow, and the black saber to have a red blade. Still pretty happy tho!

Gorgeous sabers you have there, justvladik.  That yellow in the Dominix is really good looking, I say keep it yellow but you can always swap the LEDs between the Dominix and your Sentinel if you want.  Congrats on your saber and raffle win!  What side of the Force do you lean towards? Dark or Light?

Vladik- super set there! I’m pretty stunted up myself, and I love it! If you’re so inclined, and once you Warrantee is up, you could always swap your leds into the hilts you prefer and you’d be set!!!

I find it nice that you got one Dark side color and on Light side. Of course I don't know what YOU wanted but I appreciate the balance  ;D

I really HAVE TO get myself one of those Orange/Yellow sabers. I wanted to get one with a dark hilt and I see it looks perfect in my opinion. I have my eye on a Dark Prophecy in Fire Orange or Sentinel Yellow.

The Spectre is definitely good looking...

These Dominix/Aeon V4 with windows in the emitter always make my jaw drop. I wish US made more sabers with that option (don't get me wrong, not complaining...I LOVE what they already make)

So I just received my lightsaber.  I was worried I might get unlucky and pull one of the few sabers that I'm not a fan of  There was no need for my worry:  First prize scored me a Guardian with 2 channel emerald (red and blue) and v3 sound.  I first bought a stunt Ultrasaber 6 years ago just for the hilt and guts and man are these new hilts great!  Amazing construction and so much lighter than I was expecting!

Great stuff, that Guardian looks interesting with the short blade. Great choices for entry sabers, and I like the collection pics too. Since you didn't have any points but you mainly have blue and green sabers, I gave you a Light Side point.

I have small kids in the house, so it's short blades or broken TVs/fish tanks  ;)

No need to explain. I'm 6'3" and have whacked the ceiling too many times, so I favor a shorter blade when I'm messing around with my sabers. I hit the ceiling (and other objects) less often.  ;) I need to get a pipe cutter so that I can shorten a couple blades, and make some blade plugs. :)

4th prize grab bag came in today.  Dark Initiate V4, CG, windowed emitter, and with a black AV switch.  Not bad at all, I'm very happy with it and Everyones wins are looking great!  congrats to all.

Yea, I like the feel better than the older version I have and it looks good.  Never been a fan of CG but it looks good and I think I will leave it that color for now.

Agreed.  I’ve never thought of the CG until I received my Initiate LE V4 with the Obsidian Lite sound and the moment I turned it on, I appreciated the color.

I'd suggest hooking up that Guardian to your computer using the launcher as soon as you are able; I'd wager that it's actually full 4 channel Emerald.  I won a 1st prize saber in the last Winter Raffle and I was delighted to discover it was 4 channel Emerald, which I had suspected might be the case since US doesn't sell 2 channel Emerald any more.  Maybe they found some leftover 2 channel boards and are finally sending them out, but I think you're in for a nice surprise.  :)

Oh, and congrats on the win and the sweet entry sabers too!

The entry saber is a Shock in Guardian Blue with quick disconnects and V4 sound, shown already kitbashed into the "close enough to Shaak Ti for me" configuration I had in mind when I ordered it.  I bought a Shock LE emitter separately and added a TCSS pommel to get the look in the ballpark.  My prize saber (2nd prize level) was a very nice surprise, a Manticore in Violet Amethyst with V3 sound.  I was already very pleased upon unpacking it to receive such a nice hilt as a prize, but upon further examination it got even nicer.  The hilt came equipped with silver flash on clash (cool!) and, to my astonishment, a recharge port!  Amazing!  Thanks to UltraSabers for running these raffles, it's truly wonderful that they choose this sort of generous activity as a way to keep their customers engaged and excited.  Congratulations to all the lucky winners!

Great looking sabers. I love what you did with that Shock. Of course, you could have gotten that same look with a Catalyst pommel. Just saying. ;)

You are correct of course and I did consider that, but this pommel is much lighter (which I like) and just the tiniest fraction shorter so it's infinitesimally closer to Master Ti's sidearm.  It's still lazy and not even close to a true facsimile, but I don't much care for most prequel saber designs anyway so I actually prefer this version which gets the gist but looks classier to me.  It looks darn good amongst the other council members' sabers in my display, so I'm happy!

I love your Shock with the LE Emitter, ktulu.  How do you like the Shock itself? I like the TCSS pommel that You installed on it, does make it more like Master Ti’s Saber.  It’s a beautiful looking saber and I’ve been eyeing it. Congrats on the Manticore, you definitey lucked out on that one.  I take it that you’re going to pair them up to a staff? If so,’do post pictures. Have a point

In other news the bellicose I bought appears to have come with a recharge port installed which was a nice surprise. It's really hard to get the battery pack out on that saber.

US no longer sells the 2 channel Emerald since most people who buy the Emerlad sabers opt for the 4 channel so they pulled it. They’re giving out the 2 channel as prizes now.

Hello Everyone!  I won a fourth place prize in the Summer 2018 raffle, and just received my prize today!  

It was an Aeon v4, with Windowed Emitter, Silver A/V button, and Artic Blue color!  Basically a $100 saber as a prize!

What is really cool is that I had this almost-exact saber on my wish list (only difference was Violet-Amethyst color.)   But now that I have the Aeon, I like it better with the Artic  Blue!

This makes me wonder if Emory and the team look at our wish lists when picking prizes?  Either way, Thanks Emory and Ultrasabers!

Believe it or not, the sabers are pulled randomly so it appears that the Force heard you.  I don't think they're able to look within our WishList since it's locked by our account and accessing that kind of data is a breach of privacy despite them owning the site. 

I must say that I like your Scorpion paired with the Aeon in AB.  Looks like they flow well together.  Will you duel weld?  Also, any plans for the Aeon? Adding sound, weather, painting, etc.

I am a padawan with the force, so I will have to work up to dual welding of sabers.  

Current plans are for the Aeon to be my daily practice saber for my spinning and dueling exercises, and the Crimson Scorpion will be for special occasions and duels.  The CS is a bit big for dual weld, as it weighs over 2.5 pounds with the heavy dueling blade. I will have to work on my arm strength for extended single hand usage of the CS.

As far as customization, I will definitely be getting some O-rings for the grips on the Aeon.  They are a quick, easy mod that will actually improve the grip on this sleek saber!  

Probably not going to buy sound for the Aeon, but will probably buy it a twin (in Violet-Amethyst) to build into a staff.  Or maybe Fire Orange to do a Fire/Ice staff?  Would be more inclined to use two Aeons as a duel weld as they would be closer in size and weight to each other.  

In my opinion, the CS is optimally a two handed saber....  Heck, it's 19.5 inches long....as long as an Initiate v2 staff!

Cool, I have one incoming myself and may get a twin for it.   I've been eyeing it for some time and love it's design.  I look forward to seeing you turn it into a staff.  Have a point.

Ordered a Manticore for a friend with my raffle order (in Guardian Blue with Silver FoC). It looks great on you picture. Can't wait to sse it "in the flesh" (so to speak). Tomorrow probably.

Seeing these two colors close to each other makes me want to order an Orange lightsaber with the same hilt as my Arctic Blue so I could make a staff out of them (I think it would look good).

Hi MNewell1, congrats on a really nice pair of hilts! I got my hands on a Scorpion hilt last year and it was awesome. The guy who owned it had two as a staff. The Arctic Blue and Tri-Orange would make a real "Fire and Ice" staff setup. point incoming.

p.s. and I nearly broke my wrist trying to spin that Scorpion!

Yeah, it takes significant wrist strength to spin the Scorpion with any speed.  Fortunately, it was my first Ultrasaber, so I have been getting used to it.

When I received my Aeon v4 yesterday, spinning that at high speed was no sweat because of my training on the Scorpion.

FYI, my wrists (and palms and forearms) actually ached for the first week that I owned the Scorpion.

Being a second place prize, it has V4 sound, a light up AV switch and a violet amethyst blade. $334, as configured. :D The ironic thing is, this was one of the sabers I considered as my entry, but I couldn't afford Premium sound if I went that route, so I went with a less expensive saber, and managed to nab this beauty as a prize. Needless to say, I'm blown away by this.  ;D

I quite like the Shock, it's a very classy looking hilt overall with a nice mix of hard edges and curves in the detailing.  I will admit that I prefer the look with the pommel I installed rather than the standard Shock pommel.  To my eyes it makes the lines just a touch cleaner, makes the emitter the obvious highlight, and I like the shorter overall length.  It also shifts the balance to be a bit blade heavy, but that's a minor concern for a saber that's mostly a showpiece for me.  I'd say get one at some point, it's a very nice hilt.  Have a point yourself!

Great raffle saber you got there, scifi!  And I love the shock that you have as well, both sabers are phenomenal on their own and you have the V4 sound on the Emperor's Hand!  Very nice.  I personally like the SRD with a silver hilt, it's just a classy look to me.

Wow!  Awesome prize, scifidude!  The Emperor's Hand is an absolutely beautiful hilt, it's one of my favorites among my own collection.  You hit the jackpot with that configuration if you wanted the closest possible Mara replica, but you can't go wrong with that hilt in any setup!  The fact that you wanted to order it as the entry is crazy, what an amazing coincidence.  The Shock you actually ordered as your entry is sweet too; SRD almost always looks phenomenal.  Congratulations and have a point for sharing!

Yaaaaay my sabers came today. An innitiate, a grab bag, and a second prize raffle saber with my purchase   ;D
I purchased the double Diamond Menace which look absolutely amazing put together.  I was worried that it would be too long or too heavy but the length and weight is just... perfect really.

2 stunt sabers for crossing spendature milestones:
Dark Apprentice V4 with windows, a cover tech wheel and red blade
Innitiate LE V3 with silver non illuminated AV and orange blade

And for the second place raffle prize I got a Chosen One CE! Red illuminated black AV switch, red blade, V4 sound, flash on clash.  I had not seen the Chosen One before but it is similar obviously to the Graflex... which I wasn't now a big fan of based on the photos but in person, this thing is beautiful, very happy to have such an awesome ew saber to help start my collection!

I'm not that fond of the Chosen One myself because it looks like the hilts is a bit too large for my taste (at least for spinning or dueling). But it sure looks nice for display.

Sweet deal! Wow, nickel plated and all. She's a beauty for sure. Indeed, it is related to the Graflex, as both sabers are based on old camera flashes. In fact, in a couple shots in Return of the Jedi, a modified Graflex even stands in for Vader's MPP flash based saber.

Awesome prize!  The Emperor's Hand is on my wish list and probably my next saber purchase!

SABERS! They arrived today so got my spectre in tri-ad, and the prize (gave to my wife) of a dark sentinel v4 with windows and an av switch, had them upgrade it with basic sound and amethyst for a modest fee. Really happy with both of them.
The spectre is huge and chunky which is fine with me I am a big guy. I love the way it fits my hand and the detail is beautiful.
I ordered ultraedge blades this time as I got regulars last time, Oddly the regulars look better on the new ones and the ultraedge look better on the old ones, go figure.
As my wife already had a DSv4 I think I need to get her a coupler and a VA module so she can have a nice staff.
Also holy freakin loud! both sabers are lite sound but they sure make the noise. :)

Well, her receiving another DS just means that the Force is speaking to her wanting her to have a staff.  Ant wait to see that!  I have a saber with Lite sound and there’s nothing “lite” about it other than the fact that we can’t change sound fonts on them nor mute them but boy are they loud! US may not read minds but they sure understood that this was a hilt I love and that I needed a Dark Side one for balance as all the others I had were Light Side. Again, Thank you!  :D

It's still beautiful nonetheless. 

Now that I end up with 5 sabers with the same type of hilt (even though not all exactly the same color) in four different blade colors (SRD, AB, GB and BR) I suppose I'll have a great time checking which combination makes the nicest staff  ::)

I got a beautiful Electrum Wind with purple blade - just wonderful!

Love the Electrum Wind there, Draddog.  The windows gives it a nice touch and that purple is gorgeous.

I love it too. If nothing else it's my first dark side saber so it also has something about it (besides being a US saber which always makes it special). Point for loving it!

Congrats on your free sabers! Obviously I am quite partial to the Dominix V4 (every saber I own so far is a variation of it  ;D ) but even people who are less biased will tell how comfortable it is to use.

Congrats on the win there, DR!  I have all three sabers and must say that the Dominix is by far my favorite to weld and spin as it’s really comfortable to grip in just about any way you can think of.  My first impression was that it was much larger than my Initiates but after spinning with it, I like the evenly distributed weight that runs across when the momentum of both blade and saber increases.

we decided to give the initiate to my step brother, and the dominix to a friend, but I tried them, they are really cool to use !

I think my next order will turn into another initiate, V4 this time, or an apprentice (maybe 2 of them for another original staff lol)

Isn't that thing BRIGHT?! I was amazed to see how bright it was compared to my other sabers. Hands down the best blazing red I've ever seen.

I thought that too. It is bright. Than again it's the first time I have a regular Midgrade blade on a saber so I guess it blocks less light.

Are you using Tri-CREE or just the UE blade?  Or is the BR just super bright?

UEMG blade but this BR came with a MG blade. I suppose I'll have to change the blade to see if it's the blade or the saber that makes it so bright.
(For some reason I thought about the usual "Egg or Chicken" question there)

Let me know what the difference is, I've never owned a standard blade, just Ultraedge. I'd be curious to see just how much it affects the blade's overall brightness.

It was my understanding that UE was better for all cold colors (GB, AB, CG, SRD, DVA) and that regular worked better on warm colors (FO, BR, SY, PO) but I am clearly no expert on that question.

I don't think that UE are better with particular color, the UE is describe to give a "full blade effect", then you don't less bright parts on the blade. (Saw on the US FAQ)

One of my friends get a saber of a French shop, the blade is not UE and it's really dimmer next to the tip


Edit : I saw that on the FAQ, deep gives his opinion on UE with different color, and add that it's his opinion ;)

Yep, it works now. Great video and great sabers. It's cool that you upgraded the Consular but left the Emperor's Hand with Emerald. Even though they're intended to be a staff, that makes them a bit more unique.

Just a couple fun points. The EH always comes with an AV, as do any sabers with activation boxes. Also, the black pommel is more likely to show scratches, because it's shiny aluminum underneath. But, it's still a great pommel, I have one on my Dark Sentinel. It's cool that you were able to get one. They're sold out in the "Build your own" section, but that may be a separate stock from the ones for sabers. ;) Also, that isn't that bad of mess.

Thanks!  The "Shaak" turned out even better than I'd hoped: pure class, perfect for Master Ti.  Well worth the effort cobbling things together, a welcome addition to my collection.  That it won me a prize as well is pure icing.  Now I just have to muster the effort to take all the pictures for the gallery threads I have in mind...

I'll pick up an extra silver EH pommel then and keep the black one.  I didn't know that with the EH AV switch, I might of looked at the wrong browser tab since I had like 5 of them opened when building the sabers.  The Consular is by far my favorite saber to date and I knew that I was going to regret it if I did not upgrade it to the Diamond saber.  I'm sure glad that I did! 

Even though it comes with one by default, it's still best to lay out exactly what you want, so there's no confusion.

I was so happy to find that with my order of a green Archon 3.1 and and Red Chosen One SE I won a second prize in the summer raffle!
A blue Dorinian with premium sound! I've always been happy with my Ultrasabers purchases and these are no exception.

Congrats on your winning saber, Dutch!  Love that Aeon LE V4!!!! I must say that the gold accents with the FO blade looks mighty superb!  You can never go wrong with the Aeon in any color or set up!  And I do like the AS silver in your Apprentice, looking really good.

I just got my first saber, an Emperor's Hand with an added Archon pommel, that qualified me for the summer raffle. My first raffle and i won a third place saber! I received a Dark Apprentice LE v4! I was planning on buying a double bladed saber later on down the road but with the Dark Apprentice now, I already ordered another one and a coupler and will have my double bladed saber in another week or so! Here is my Raffle saber, and my Emperor's hand with a Sunriders Destiny blade color ( 7 years of playing Star Wars Galaxies and I always wanted a Sunriders, now i have it! ). Thanks Ultra Sabers!

The Bellicose in Guardian Blue is fantastic there, pplitz!  I really like the Dark Initiate LE V4 in Sentinel Yellow as well! 

Great pull, pplitz. That Dark Initiate LE V4 looks awesome in Sentinel Yellow. Also, don't forget since it's a 3rd prize saber, it has Lithium Ion batteries. That's a great upgrade over the AAA batteries. :)

Just a quick update on my raffle prize saber. I havent ordered a saber stand because I have a 3D printer and drew this one up the other night and printed it. I plan on putting a lightbox under it and a thin film of red acrylic under the stand plate, I wanted it to look like the walls in the death star but glow red for the dark side. And that is my prize saber again.
