So, for the raffle I took advantage of the flash sale and built the wife a liberator w/v4 sound and VA led. I also ordered a mystery box, which is the initiate le v4 w/an av in AB. Then, as an afterthought, I got a grab bag, which is the dark apprentice w/emitter windows, also in AB. All in all, a pretty damn good haul, if you ask me.

Nice scores w/ AB, love the Libby. All 3 are great spinning / dueling hilts.  Have a point for a good haul.

Nice sabers there.  How do you like the Liberator?  I've been eyeing them lately and may pick one up after I buy all the ones that I want first, of course.  Love the Dark Apprentice and Initiate LE V4 that you have, I have the same ones but my Initiate LE has windows and my Apprentice doesn't.

Thanks bone. Here’s a point back atcha! +1 Infinit- I’m shocked at how balanced the lib is with the 32” ultra mid and the regular hole pommel. The balance point is richer at the end of the emitter. It’s Scarlet Etheria’s (mi muher) saber, so we’ll have to ask her after she’s used it for a spell, but I like it very much.

You know jinn, it was a guess, as is anything we do for someone else like this. But, I think you are right. After seeing her wield it I really feel like I made a good choice. She left it up to me to decide when I felt she was ready, and I’m very happy. She’s already picking out some leather for its wrap!!!

Nice score(s) Gum!  You know, for being a more utilitarian hilt, that Liberator looks particularly effective (I've always been a fan of the Apprentice/Sentinel lines and have come to appreciate the Initiate/Aeon since Karmack and Teagin posted theirs).

Sweet! She seems very happy with the Liberator. Also, thanks for the info on the balance with that blade. I've been wanting a Libby for a long time, in fact that was almost my raffle entry. The Initiate LE and Dark Apprentice LE are cool too. Good score, getting windows on the Apprentice, an AV on the Initiate and a premium color on both. :)

Scifi- Even though I’ve never hit the “jackpot” on any of my Mysteries or grab bags, I feel I’ve been quite evenly lucky on getting really cool, solid option upgrades, and I’ve never recieved the same hilt twice. That being said, if I keep getting mystery boxes, and I don’t know why I wouldn’t, I’m bound to get some repeat hilts. But, that just means I’ll have more staffs!!!!

You guys are the best. Between the superior staff and products from US, and all the help and support from you all, I have had more fun participating in this hobby than anything I’ve done in years!! US FO LIFE!!!

That's probably the best way to look at Mystery Boxes. Some people seem crushed when they don't get an overly expensive hilt with sound and Emerald in a $75 box, but you clearly see the value in what you get for the money.

I very much approve of the idea of Mystery Boxes myself. I've gambled on mystery stuff more than once, and not just sabers. I'm thinking of finally rolling the dice on a Mystery Box soon. I love Ultrasabers low end hilts, I have a whole bunch of them. So, I'd also be happy with whatever. :)

She does seem very happy with her new saber. And she has good reason to be. A simple hilt, well balanced with the blade is perfect for spinning and fighting. My first saber was Aeon V4 with LITE sound and 36" blade and windows in the emitter and it too turned out perfectly balanced.

Definitely digging the Liberator!  Great choice!  Quick Question:  did you go ahead and wrap the hilt with leather?  How did it turn out?

MN- she is still getting used to it as is. We have TONS of leather designs and colors available at our house, so choosing can be a daunting task. Plus, I want to wrap many more objects before I attempt hers. Being the top model saber in our house I want my seaming to be perfect !
