Hi all.  It's that time again as this raffle closes tonight.  So post your photos and videos of your entry purchases and winning sabers.  Some of you will be impatiently waiting for your Butcher and Savior... but pics or it never happened.  ;D

Again a gentle reminder... this thread is mostly for visual ooh's & aww's and not intended for extensive reviews.  ;)

Hi all.  My parcel was sent out on Monday prior to the raffle winners notification list... a clear indication that I was not on the winners list as is usual... really my winless streak over many years is getting impressive to monumental !  Arrived home today to find the box placed across the outside of my apartment door.  I had just this morning made arrangements with FedEx via phone to pick it up at the airport... after it arrived tomorrow from the mainland.  Thank goodness no one took it.  The trick next time will be to not pre-pay the customs and taxes so the deliverer can't leave it unattended/un-signed... for anyone to help themselves.  And I thought UPS had the more unsafe delivery practices!

Chose to take advantage of the FLASH25 sale and got x2 Prophecy LITE.  Both Tri-Cree... in FO with HG blade and AB with UEHG blade.  I like the AB color the best.  For some unknown reason a Renagade LE pommel was put on instead of the ordered silver SE version.  I also purchased a Bane pommel so will use that one instead for now.  I have an extensive pommel collection so not yet sure which will be the final choice.  Likely there will be some customization down the road.

That's all to be said about these sabers... other than that the delivery was super speedy.

That stinks D7 :/ I didn't win either but it was my first time. It's amazing how you maintain a positive attitude through all that! I'd be so discouraged lol. I saw the prophecy on flash sale and thought about it but the plainness of the hilt kind of put me off. However seeing it with a black covertec wheel and black pommel I think it looks really sweet and now am kicking myself for not getting one.

I am holding off until the next raffle to get another saber. I'm not sure if I want the Butcher or the Emperor's Hand but it will be one of the two as my entry.

In the meantime to console myself for not winning anything, a little retail therapy helps, so I decided to comfort myself by ordering another mystery box today  :P  I'll have to find a way to explain this expense again to my fiancé who is baffled by this newfound addiction of mine. I should've probably lied and told him I won it in a raffle lol but he's already aware I lost lol. Will post photos as soon as it arrives!

Hi.  Thanks for the sympathy but please to make it clear... I find it quite humorous and after 11 raffles likely would not want to break my pattern lol.  I own a lot of sabers from a few companies so am not lacking.  The black and silver combo on the first saber makes it different but ultimately it will be customized.  The 36" HG blade is too long but the Scorpion pommel balances it out.  Will likely switch out to a 32" MG as that shows off the Tri-Cree FO the best.

Be careful with your newfound addiction and it will be easier if your fianc'e is on board.  Hope you get something that you really like in your MB.  All is good to try out when building a collection.  :)

Thanks, I should also be clear that I'm merely joking. My fiance is aware I'm buying these things. There's no real, tangible way for me to hide a saber after all lol. I forget that humorous tone gets lost a little in text sometimes.

I've seen your posts about entering 11 times and was only commenting that I was amazed how you continue to take it light-heartedly. I didn't sense that you were distressed by it at all. Your attitude is a refreshing take. Just wanted to clarify. I myself don't know if I'd be that level headed. I don't take on many gambles often as a result lol

Looking forward to seeing how your customization turns out on the prophecy. Ageee the pommel is a nice touch!

Great sabers, D7. I’m partial to the silver on silver look in the last pic—which will probably be the direction I go in when I eventually get a prophecy. And the larger pommel adds to the character IMHO.

I didn’t win a free saber either, but this was my first raffle. Some folks do get the luck of the draw though, and I think it’s great to see a list of winners that span from the more active members to those who are first timers.

Mainly, I’m in this to collect sabers and I will now have two when my raffle entry saber arrives (by Saturday!). And I got a saber I’ve had my eye on since I first discovered US at a nice price with the 10% discount, plus a free blade plug, and free shipping too. As I said in another post, there are no losers in these raffles because we all get more for our money. And that’s like a fifth prize level if you think about it, plus the excitement of waiting to see who won the higher tier prize levels.  It’s a lot like ordering a mystery box. You know you’ll get more than your money’s worth—and there’s a chance you might get something “Ultra” nice.

I think it all adds to the fun of collecting and Emory is both a smart and generous business person. I’ve really enjoyed both of my purchase experiences. And with the point system, I’ll have enough to probably get myself a free mystery box for my birthday—or at least pay for most of it. So there’s that added bonus as well.

Hey all! Congrats to all the winners! My order showed up today and I'm in love. I purchased a $75 mystery box and a Phantasm Initiate V3 in adegan silver with silver AV switches. My mystery saber ended up being an Aeon V4 in consular green with emitter windows and a silver AV switch. So glad I decided to go with the Phantasm Initiate. Being 5' tall limits my hilt and blade options a bit.

If the package had a signature required on delivery which, as far as I know, Ultrasabers always does that with FedEx, they literally shouldn't have been able to just leave it unless you left a release form signed on your door. It's a really good thing nobody took it.

When I get my package, if no one’s home, FedEc will leave a drop off slip for you to sign to either allow them to leave it or have someone pick it up for you

That's what they should do, or reattempt delivery the next day. Another thing you can do is go to the tracking page and print off a release form, sign it and tape it to your door. That allows them to leave the package. Other than using one of those methods, they shouldn't just leave a package that requires a signature. That driver can likely get in a lot of trouble for that.

I did it once with a $40 empty hilt, but I definitely wouldn't have done it with 2X sound sabers, as I'm sure D7 didn't.

FedEx dropped off my Graflex that just had a diamond upgrade done to it on the Sunday of Labor day weekend. They placed it right by the mailboxes in the hallway. I live in an apartment complex and typically packages are sent to the leasing office and signed for there but the office was closed that day. I saw FedEx delivered anyway. Had a panic attack cuz I was out of town and my fiance didn't get off work till late afternoon. Luckily it was still there when he got home.

With Fedex, this is nothing new. At one point, I believe all those above regulations were followed, they always got a signature or left a slip that they would deliver the following day—or you could pick it up later that evening at the local Fedex location. And this was standard practice. My job required 1-2 deliveries per week, and no packages were ever left until the early 2000s. Then it would get left in the hall of my apartment building. I moved by that time and I figured they left it because it was inside and the driver considered it safe. Jump ahead to where I currently live with no safety of a hall and the packages are left outside almost every time.

It has to be either that it is left to the driver’s determination on an area being “potentially” safe—or more likely, they don’t want to redeliver and budgetary constraints have them leaving it.  Because if you’ve ever seen the list of how Fedex charges are broken down for these things, they charge for gas, mileage, and I believe even wear and tear on tires. So methinks it’s a cost cutting maneuver by the company. I would be curious to find out what they say if someone actually complains.

Also...drivers are supposed to deliver what’s in their truck by a certain time of day 5 or 6, whatever. Then the driver has to redeliver, or is out until say 8. They not only don’t get paid for those extra hours, they get penalized for it.

So it isn’t Ultrasabers fault, or even the drivers...it’s their corporate overlords who created the bad situation.  Just don’t get stuck in traffic or fall behind...

Gave him one. Master Medwyn has always been a great guy, well deserving of that Master title. And that was officially hilarious. I almost peed. I especially laughed at "I ordered it in faded brown." :D

Threw my guardian pommel on, mixed feelings about it ascetically, but functionally it balances incredibly for such a large hilt. Overall it’s such a nice saber. My first flash on...

Thanks Scifi! It’s top of the list right now. I’m debating weather or not this hilt will end up as a platform for a more advanced build. I still don’t have an emerald or diamond saber.

Love that saber Gumby. The Manticore emitter is absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorites. A light weathering of the black part of the body is where I would start, that's an easy fix if you don't like the way it's looking. Point for windows and lighted switch.

Beautiful saner Gumby. I'm not sure about it, but I believe US also sells Guardian pommels that are designed to fit on sabers without a shroud without the ridge. Maybe something worth looking into. I actually really like the look of it though.

They sure do. It's in the store under "Lightsaber Parts/Pommels." There are two purchase options, "MHS Version" and "Replacement Pommel." MHS will run you $45 and is designed to fit onto sabers that aren't the Guardian.

Man, I am just itching to be able to post some pics on this thread, October can't come soon enough!

I like the eclectic look of Gumby's Manticore saber modification.  The Scorpion/Guardian pommels are my favorites and I use the neck piece for other pommel extensions as well.

Very nice sabers, D7. The Prophecy is a very versatile saber that suits so many MHS pommels. Mine has an Archon MHS pommel.

I should receive my entry tomorrow, I finally got my Emperors hand in VA ( of course). I also won a 4th prize so I have a mystery box coming along. Here's wishing for a Libby, or prophecy. I know I know but a guy can wish....

Dang, DarthBoneTD! You hit the jackpot with that prize! That's one of the most expensive hilts US sells. And, in a tri Cree no less. One way to tell for certain if the Graflex is nickel is the color difference between the body and switch area. :) I love your entry too. The Consular is a lovely saber, and that blue with red flash looks amazing. Nice catch, getting a photo right at that VA point. :)

Awesome sabers DB!  I love it when folks get a Graflex as a prize, I think that's pretty much the ultimate saber jackpot.  The CE nickel coating is such a nice bonus, congratulations!  Unfortunately, as was stated above you are now contractually obligated to get a Chosen One to keep it company.  It'll be worth it; the moment you see them side by side in person for the first time is a wonderful fannish thrill.  Also, your photo of the three hilts together put the Monarch back on my 'maybe' pile, so thanks for that.  :)  Congrats again on the win!

No, you should be able to see pics. I know for me, when I can't see them it is either because my firewall is blocking them or something or else the poster did not take the "s" out of "https" which also makes it so I cant see them for some reason. I am by no means a technical expert, so maybe someone else with a little more knowledge about this will pop in and help out. Hope you get it figured out.

I've said it before and I'll say it again the Monarch is a absolutely gorgeous saber, it is a little heavy and probably a better 2 handed saber, but I like a little heft for power. Not that I would duel with mine. The nickel makes it kind of a shelf queen. 

Heavy's not a bad thing one bit, that means that the strikes are much harder but of course stopping it would be harder.

So i received both my Emperors Hand and my raffle prize, War Glaive.  I'm so happy with my first stunt saber as it's my first ever saber in my collection.  Having the raffle prize be a full blade with sound and lighting boards makes me so happy. I decided to go ham and have my shiny Hand blade and turn the Glaive into a lost relic blade.  I love the contours of the blade and made for a really fun and interesting paint and mod process! I knew i'd want a second blade when i purchased the first, but now i'm onto number 3! Thank you so much for being a fantastic community, Ultrasabers!

Thanks Infinit, my brother is getting married next month.  After seeing his reaction to the EH and how childish he got about it i decided I'm going to gift my Relic Glaive to him.  It's a strange feeling giving away the major upgrade in terms of blade internals but i'm sure he'll have the same silly grin on his face the first time he turns it on.

This just arrived today. The Graflex SE. It's got a silver non illuminated av switch, obsidian V3 or V4 sound and has a counselor green blade color.  I honestly wouldn't have picked this saber for myself. It is growing on me. I am very happy to have it. I can't believe Ultrasabers gives away such high quality prizes. Can't wait to see everyone else's prizes.

Aww that's sweet! I love my Graflex. I practice swinging it almost everyday. It's my first saber and I hope to get many more. Have an MB coming this week. Hope it's something good! Then again just excited to start a collection.

I upgraded my prize to a black AV switch and SY LED as I plan to gut the prize for my D. Prophecy build. Would be hilarious if they finish the build for me, then I'd need to come up with a new idea for my blank hilt... just have to wait and see what the prize is, which I suppose is coming with my Butcher delivery

So, I finally recieved my sabers from 2nd raffle entry. I was feeling adventurous, as I often am, and ordered two mystery boxes and two grab bags, along with two grab bag blades, an initiate and a full size. The blades I received were a ultra mod weight 24”, and a friggin huge 40” mid weight regular!! Blade is badd!!! To be continued later...

My first grab bag is a v2 Dom in BR. Not fancy, but a solid hilt.

At this point I am satisfied, but not overwhelmed. I am always happy with what I get from my mystery boxes, but I’ve never received anything spectacular.

The Dark Sentinel v4 in CG with emitter windows, with and AV and light sound!!!! Finally I got a saber with sound from a mystery box!!! I put the 40” mid on her and she’s awesome!! The Ballance is perfect at the emitter choke point, and she swings like a tornado. Swooooshhh!!!! All in all I got a hell of a bag of saber prizes, and I didn’t even win a thing in the raffle. US fo life!!!!!

My sabers arrived at 8:00 pm on tuesday. I love the EH and it is a great addition to my collection. For my 4th prize I got a Dark Apprentice LE v4 in Arctic blue, I also won a 4th prize in the last raffle and got a Dominix v4 in CG. I will get pics up today hopefully.

man there are some pretty sweet saber prizes coming out of this raffle. please post reviews and pics guys/gals. we all live vicariously though each other. your excitement is felt by everyone who gets to see your new saber, hear the snap hiss as it's activated, we all ooh and ahhh over the FOC, and marvel over the brilliant blade color that someone matched to your new baby. plus, we get awesome, honest reviews on sabers we may have been on the fence about or may not have been considering. this all helps to feed the addiction that we all share. it makes for a great community of people who are there for each other and who share your happiness. so, keep them coming and happy sabering.

After some back and forth about options (I won an Emerald prize so I had to spec it out) and an extra couple of days because FedEx is bad at communication, my entry and prize sabers arrived today.

The entry saber is an Overlord with quick disconnects and V4 sound, initially equipped with a Pyrestone Orange LED unit though sadly the blade color doesn't come across at all accurately in the photo.  Honestly none of the photos I've seen have done it justice, but I love that color in person and I've been wanting an MLS unit I could move around my QD equipped sabers.  The Overlord itself is very classy, simple yet elegant with just the right amount of silver to break up the black.  I'm glad to add it to my saber array.

For my Emerald prize I chose a Spectre, and I paid the minor costs to upgrade to V4 sound, windowed emitter, etched body and D-ring pommel.  It's set to Dark Violet Amethyst in the photo, but I'm not sure yet what will end up being its "default" color setting.  I've been on the fence about the Spectre since its introduction and I'm not sure I would have purchased it given its (completely justified) price, but there were too many things I liked about it to pass up the opportunity to acquire it for almost no monetary outlay.  I was very surprised and pleased by its relative lightness, as most of the "canon based" UltraSabers hilts tend to be fairly heavy in my experience.  They appear to have worked hard to make the main body as light as possible to compensate for the somewhat heavy emitter and the overall heft is not bad at all for its size.  It's an incredibly detailed and very visually interesting hilt and I like it even better in person than I thought I might.  I'm very pleased to have chosen it as my prize.

Thanks as always to UltraSabers for their generosity with these raffles.  It's astonishing that they give away so many of these works of art and they gave out quite a few high end hilts this time around if this thread is any indication.  Congratulations again to all the lucky winners and happy sabering everyone!

Ktulu, those are some very nice sabers. Haven't thought much about an overlord till now. Very nice. That Spectre is to sweet. I have the same body (engraved), windows and DVA colored blade. I love it. I can't believe Ultrasabers gives away such high quality prizes. I won a Graflex SE with v3 sound. Not a cheap saber mind you. Emory and the whole gang at Ultrasabers really understands their customer base. They clearly love sabers as much as we do.

I like your Overlord there, Ktulu.  You're right, FO doesn't really show up well on camera unless you have a really good DSLR camera.  I like the specs on the Spectre as well and congrats on that win! I've always liked VA on the Spectre but this is my first time seeing it in DVA and it looks nothing less than superb.  Have a point and congrats again!

The Overlord is a saber I've gone back and forth on liking. It's kind of like a MHS compatible "basic" saber, so lots of possibilities as far as modding it. Love those pics, the Overlord actually looks sweet, especially next to the Spectre. The Spectre is lovely, and it's kind of the opposite of the Overlord in terms of detailing. It's got so much detail.

I’ve been wanting an Overlord myself for the MHS emitter and pommel as well. I may pick up on in the future

It seems to be a largely overlooked saber, or at least you don't see a lot of them on the forum. It's right around the size of the Aeon, Sentinel, etc. and a really attractive simple saber. I'm getting a crazy idea for a custom one as I'm typing this. ;D

Hi SFD, the only one I was aware of was Darth Nonymous' "FrankenStick", a modified Overlord and Arbiter mix. And that was from back in 2012!

I didn't think I'd seen much on the Overlord in my brief time on the forum either, so it's good to hear more experienced folks confirm my impression.  The more I look at the thing the more I like it as it really does seem to have just the right amount of silver in just the right places to perfectly break up the black main body.  It's simple but very effective and classy as heck.  MHS compatibility means one could customize easily, but I think I'll leave mine just how it is except for swapping out MLS units.  I actually think it'll look sweet in Guardian Blue so I'm anxious to try that in particular.  Anyway, thanks to all for the kind words on these latest additions to my menagerie!

I agree, it's like the Manticore and the Shock sabers.  They're great and leave lots of room to fully customize them in every way of your imagination.  Those two are also on my list to own.

After I got these I collected all my sabers together, Yep I have a problem. I have wanted a EH since they first came out, I am happy to have it in my collection.

My Butcher and Summer Raffle win have arrived!  For the raffle I won aStunt Sentinel I’m Guardian Blue (so awesome).  My entry sabers were the Butcher w v4 sound in dark violet amethyst, and a Dark Prophecy v3 in sentinel yellow.

The Butcher is...big lol.  Don’t let the pics deceive you - my hands are small so most sabers are big to me, but the upper part of this hilt is a little tough to work with cause of the fins, but you can definitely twirl it around.  It’s so...so pretty...

Oh my, those are beautiful. That Butcher looks amazing, and the Dark Prophecy is always a excellent choice. The Sentinel is just a nice bonus. Congrats on your most excellent acquisitions Mask. Points galore.

That's a great set of sabers. Yeah, the Butcher looks big, but we knew it was going to be. It's the thickest of the three, thanks to the fins, and it looks like it's longer than the Sentinel, which is something like 12.25" long.

Thanks for the reminder about this thread MM!  Kinda wishing I had gone DVA like yours though and that Dark Prophecy in SY with the matching lit AV looks mighty fine, congrats on your prize too, Sentinel stunts are the best for dueling in my opinion.

Wow! The Butcher looks real pretty in that blue anodizing. Plus with the hilt lined up as in your picture the points of the spines look as if they form a "crown" shape with the emitter mouth piece.

Hey Edon, wow! The Butcher is still smaller than Electrum Wind!  Geez!  Great review there, btw.  The Azure Butcher is still pleasing to the eye, kudos to you for going for what you want.
