The no blade option has been requested in the what do we want from US thread. However extra blades are always handy for multiple reasons including cutting down to make shoto blades and blade plugs. Getting one with saber is a lot less expensive than buying individually unless it's a grab bag blade. Not sure if the delivery charge for box size is significantly different for USA customers. :)

If you add up the price of all of the components that go inside the saber, you're essentially getting the blade for free. So, you might as well enjoy it if you're getting anything stunt or higher. I actually build a fair amount of sabers from empty hilts, but I'll also order stunts from time to time since the price jump isn't high and I get at least a LED and blade that I can use for when I do a more custom install. ;)
