For many, The Craft has fond memories of that time in the 90s where a vast majority of movies seemed to be set in high school. Long before Harry Potter, but after Jack Nicholson sedcued Cher, Michelle Pfieffer and Susan Sarandon came a little movie that seems to have had enduring appeal. With the successful reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch on Netflix comes the news that The Craft is coming back.....with some of the original cast!

Well it seems this will be a soft reboot/sequel as the original cast may also pop up. So, in answer to your question - Yes. We must reboot EVERYTHING [size=5t](that is good)[/size] ;D

I just can't wait until they go "eh screw it, the generation that remembers the original release is pretty much all dead" and start rebooting "Golden Age" movies. (Gone With The Wind, Wizard of Oz, etc)

Although I don't recall seeing The Craft yet, maybe I'll have to give it a watch.

You've never seen The Craft? Get thee to the video rental place right now young lady. You'll love it. So 90s. And legitimately engaging and enjoyable.

And, by the way, the Judy Garland Wizard of Oz is actually a remake!  :o :D

How much is it to stream?

This is something that worries me with the upcoming streaming wars and everything going digital.

When dvds first came out there was a small percentage of movies that did not make the transition from vhs.

When bluray first came out, there was another percentage of movies that were not transferred across from dvd.

Now with digital, there, once again, is a percentage of movies that are not being transferred across. I know the common belief is that physical media is dying, however, I believe that it will not go away completely. In this instance, if I lived in the same town as TJ, I could just lend her my dvd copy of The Craft. That is one of the reasons I keep my dvd/bluray collection. It's like having a vinyl collection. You can tell alot about my personality purely by looking at the movies and records I own.

It's only $3.99 to rent from Amazon....however things are too tight right now to justify it.
