Title: Building a droid Post by: Tai Chi Chuan Wijchen on November 28, 2019, 04:35:42 PM Thanks to TR-77477's posts about his blaster and rifle build. I got a bit inspired to do a little prop-building-project with my children. So we disassembled some old electronic devices and started tinkering.
So far we came to this: (https://i.imgur.com/pqWZNbf.jpg) Took a few more pictures of the proces, but don't want to flood this forum. Title: Re: Building a droid Post by: Tai Chi Chuan Wijchen on December 01, 2019, 08:57:19 AM Thank you all, I was away for a few days, so bit of a late reaction.
Probably will be adding some Greeblies and a few modifications the upcoming days. Depending on what the wether does, the kids want and how much life will interfere. ;D Bat again, thanks for the warm compliments. Title: Re: Building a droid Post by: Cyclops942 on December 01, 2019, 05:33:33 PM Very cool! And to make it even more fun, it’s battery-powered!
Title: Re: Building a droid Post by: Infinit01 on December 01, 2019, 08:19:43 PM I'm liking your decisions on this so far and you wouldn't be flooding this forum with pictures since this is your thread after all. Now, if you were to post this like 10 times in 10 different threads, then you will get paid a visit by myself or a Mod.
Feel free to post pictures! In that case, here's the second part: adding the little greeblies and thingies: (https://i.imgur.com/XsuOOo1.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/mOyuIS4.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/jhB06RK.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/DZJN4dO.jpg) Next step will probably involve some removing of glue, painting, touching up on the scratches and maybe some weathering. Title: Re: Building a droid Post by: Zren Tobas on January 27, 2020, 03:36:55 AM I need a droid companion but I don't have anything at all I can work with such as this x.x Unless if my planitarium thing breaks or something then I could use that as a starting base

Unfortunately this droid died in a house-cleaning-with-my-very-subtle-kids-war. But if you take a look at the first few pictures here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/X55hvgHZtM4QDAAG6 (https://photos.app.goo.gl/X55hvgHZtM4QDAAG6) you can see that you don't have to shoot you planetarium with a make shift Deathstar. Just find a few plastic bowls. |
