Title: Dumb question. Microusb cord compatibility
Post by: jonpluc on April 27, 2020, 02:25:19 AM
I have a stupid problem. I ordered the micro usb cord from US and am trying to plug the cord into the diamond soundboard and for some reason the ends do not look compatible and i cant plug them together. I tried two seperate sabers and the cordplug itself looks fine but the plug ends dont really look compatible in shape to each other and i cant get the cord to connect to either saber board and im afraid of jamming it really hard because ends really dont look like they match and dont want to break it. Edit: I just looked at the cord in the US catalogue and it says for Obsidian soundboard. Does that mean it doesnt work for the Diamond controller? And if not why would they offer it as a purchase choice when i have a diamond board? Why didnt they send me the cord that works with the diamond controller that i had installed with the order? Or is it compatible and im just having silly trouble connecting two ends  that dont look very similar?

The Diamond board has Micro USB.

You type quicker then me! Point for that.

A diamond board uses a "micro usb" cable. It has rounded edges.

Obsidian boards use a "mini usb" cable and has square  or pointy edges.

If you do a google search of those two terms a million pictures will pop up. So I will save myself some time and not post a picture.  I hope you have the right type of cable. If not they are not hard to find! Just make sure you get one that you can transfer data with.
