Title: Problem with my Saber Post by: rhoric on August 10, 2020, 06:17:41 AM Hi.
I have sent two emails about an issue with my saber that i got a couple weeks ago. But no one has responded to my emails. I can not get my battery pack out. I got the Li-Ion Setup With BuckPuck (Batteries & XTAR VC2 Plus Charger Included). I tried the things shown in a video but the emitter will not come out far enough without stretching the wires. So as it stands my Saber is now dead as the batteries died on it and with no way to get them out. Had I known I would have this problem I would have ordered the recharge port. This is my second saber I got from here. Title: Re: Problem with my Saber Post by: MVHI JEDI on August 10, 2020, 04:20:20 PM When you say "emitter", do you mean speaker?
Can you please provide a photo of the issue you're having? I have almost 25 UltraSabers with sound and I've never had an issue getting the battery pack out. My Prophecy is probably the tightest, most difficult to remove, but few good slaps and it works its way out. Whatever you do, don't attempt to TWIST the chassis out... once the speaker clears the bottom of the hilt, carefully pull it STRAIGHT out. Try looking through those threads for any tips, too. Using Google to search the entire SaberForum site works much better than trying to use the on-site search tool, even if you do it the smart (or at least quick) way, and search within a given thread. Using Google’s site-search tool means Google’s servers do all the work, and they’re much, much faster, and it also means that the SaberForum servers aren’t being bogged down with the searching. Title: Re: Problem with my Saber Post by: rhoric on August 11, 2020, 01:59:39 AM As I said. It will not come out. It sticks right at the end when I tried banging it to get it out. The emitter is the light emitter. It will NOT come out. I have tried a lot of times. It just sticks.

All those threads mention the same things I have tried and like I said about the emitter. There is no room. All you can do then is wait for a response or find someone else you trust to get it repaired by. Too bad you not near. I do local repairs all the time for folks near by. Title: Re: Problem with my Saber Post by: janx on August 11, 2020, 02:04:15 PM First, let's take a deep breath. Exhale.
I had a similar problem when my Grand Master came back from repair. The battery pack was stuck. Skip trying to pull the emitter out so you can jam a dowel down there to push the battery out. the video says to thump the base of the hilt squarely into your palm or block of wood. (don't do it at an angle or you'll warp the metal. You gotta do it harder than you think. Focus your jedi energy or something. One...two...three...BAM! Repeat. Title: Re: Problem with my Saber Post by: MVHI JEDI on August 27, 2020, 09:19:32 PM No? Still stuck?
Title: Re: Problem with my Saber Post by: Karmack on August 27, 2020, 11:28:41 PM I noticed you said "emitter" several times. In my experience the emitter is not where you remove the battery pack.
The pommel on your saber should come off. Make sure you're removing the pommel (the end that does NOT hold the blade) and are working with that end and not the emitter, where the LED module is located. The LED often will not extract via the emitter end due to the wiring, but the battery pack should come out. Just keep tapping it. I've had a couple that were very stubborn at first due to the sharp edges from the machining and were hard to get out the first time or two. But they all come out in the end... Which saber do you have? Does your pommel have a large hole or smaller vents for sound? |
